Hi, I don't know about this prison, but if you can check the thread "New Mexico Prison Profiles" it list all of the prisons and the phone numbers for each. You should be able to call and get the info you need. As far as bringing food in, I don't think so, at least not where my loved one is in New Mexico, but maybe it is different at different facilities. The dress codes seem to vary too, but just to be sure I would dress very conservatively at least at first until you see how it is. Where mine is located you can bring a certain amount, I believe it was $25.00 in coins in a plastic see-through bag to use in the vending machines. I have been very pleased with the courteous staff; however, I have read so many stories on here of different facilities and also in different states that I even wash my money before putting it in the bag. You will probably need to be on a visiting list and he will probably have to send you the forms to fill out and submit back to the prison--if you don't get them from him ask the prison staff. It takes a few weeks to get approved so return your forms promptly. Maybe someone on here will know more about your facility and can give you better information, if not, hope this helps you some.

Oh, I might throw this in too, before sending anything at all be sure and check with the facility. You can send books at most prisons if ordered directly thru Amazon. However, found this wasn't true where mine is. I had a book sent and paid postage then he had to pay postage to have it sent to me. The book I sent was highly recommended as a good book for someone in prison. However, no books at all can be sent that aren't ordered through their facility. So it pays to check everything out first.

Wanted to add the dress code you were asking about....I dressed very conservatively... no low cuts.. etc...I didnt even want to hassle with earrings...my silver bracelet set the machine off...I wore jeans..and I wore a wireless bra just to be on the safe side...they DO swab your hands (back and front) wrists...sometimes shoes (yes, I know retarded) and arms... if you test positive for anything your visit will either be cancelled or restricted behind glass.. like I said I wiped my vehichle down beforehand, even my keys...door handles etc.. and I also wiped my hands with antibacterial lysol wipes.... It was my first visit so I want to be extra cautious, I DID NOT...want a visit behind a glass...if I went overboard...oh well..it worked for me...DO NOT USE HAND SANITIZER,lotions, perfumes etc...it all could set off that dang machine..and IT IS sensitive...also try and not handle any money...

Actually shoes pick up a lot of drug residue on top.

I was able to find the policies surrounding visits--and yes, this includes the ability to check visits--and dress code, etc. I hope that your visits are wonderful.
