Not that I know of. I do know it is taking forever for them to received their mail so they filed a 602 complaint. If you are expecting a phone call, they don't get phone calls while in reception.

I'm pretty sure that some of it is determined by what level they are. The higher the level the longer it takes them to get moved.

Yes and the last letter received by his father was dated Oct. 25th -- his letters take longer to get to me because I'm in Colorado.

Can we get married while he's in reception? And if we could does he have to request a form? How does that work? I would appreciate your help if any of you ladies has done it before (:

I'm pretty sure you can't get married while in reception. He'll be mainlined not too many months. What's the hurry? How long is his sentence?

Default Books, and Pictures to an inmate in reception???

I'm a little embarassed to ask, but.....My fiance is asking me to send some pictures of myself in my bra and panties. Am I allowed to do that? Are they allowed pictures of that nature in reception? Also, what about books from an online book store? He is in C yard.

Just can't show your you-know-what, your you-know-what or your you-know-what if you know what I mean. Underwear and bra will be fine if you cover those parts and don't mind the people in the mail room & CO's seeing them.
You can also order books online. Just make sure they are paperback and from a book store like Barnes & Noble. Don't make the mistake that I did and go to Amazon because anybody can sell from Amazon so those books won't be excepted nor will they return them so that you could get your money back. Took me a couple of times to figure that out

I actually did send a book from Amazon, I made sure it was from a book store and even through it took a while to get to him, I had no problems

Why does reception take so long? This is the first time I'm talking to him when he is reception every other time he has been mainlined. The mail is so slow, No idea if he got the money I sent through JPay or stationary packages. This is insane and I am trying to keep him updated on his daughter who is in a coma.

Mail is very slow, I suggest you go to the post office and get post cards. The ones they have are a bit small so just write very small. I send them to my boyfriend and he gets them 2-3 days top. Mail takes about 10 days. So sorry to hear his daughter is in a coma, I wish her the best.

As far as Jpay goes, I usually call the prison and speak to someone, I think in accounting, and they tell me if my fiance has received his money. So, you could try giving them a call if you are wondering about his money. Go to the CDCR website. The number is there.
