His initial processing at Beaumont will depend on his counselor. They are able to "import" his visitor's and phone lists from his previous bop owned prison to the Beaumont computers, but he will have to tell you when that has been accomplished. It usually happens within a week.

A call to the prison can tell you if visitation is open this weekend, or cancelled (usually because of a lockdown). They may even tell you if you are on his approved visitor's list, but that is less likely.

He will have to go through their 2 day A&O program, but that won't impact or delay phones or visitation, only his counselor will.

Since his phone list sounds like it was transferred from FDC Houston, his visitor's list should have too, but he will need to ask his counselor.

The visiting lists don't automatically get transferred there. You have to fill out new forms and they denied our son because he's on juvenile probation. He gets off on March 7th so they will add him back on after that date

Counselors have the authority to import approved visitor's lists from other bop owned prisons after a transfer. Like everything else, the warden decides if that will be done, or not.

From everything I have read about Beaumont, it doesn't surprise me that the warden is making everything as difficult as possible for the inmates and their families.

What are you serious? Is your loved one in USP Beaumont? I was told as long as my probation officer was cool with it they don't mind cause they have people there who's been visiting and there on parole and all .. also my probation is for a deferred adjudication misdemeanor for county soo.. idk I pray for the best!

He won't talk to the warden, but the warden would be the one to decide that visitors for transferring prisoners would need to file a new visitation application instead of allowing the Beaumont counselors to import existing approved visitors lists from their previous bop prisons.

Every time I was transferred to a new prison, my existing visitors were automatically approved at the new prison, so having to reapply is unusual.

Yes he is at USP Beaumont and actually I told you wrong. They did import immediate family which included me and our kids but they did another background check on on 3 of us and my sons juvenile deferred probation popped up and they wouldn't approve him until he got off. It didn't matter if his probation officer was okay with it, his counselor and unit manager wouldn't allow it.

What's the point system at USP like my husband told me they give them 12 points idk if that's accurate and if I spend the whole day with him they take 2 points or 4 points? Since they only have visitation Saturday and Sunday!

Here are the visiting rules for the medium security USP Beaumont.
https://www.bop.gov/locations/instit...isit_hours.pdf

The odd/even weekend visits and the visits held under the regular point system are explained starting on Page 2.

Yeah Iv read this before but I'm still lost about everything cause he told me they gave him 12 points but according to the supplement you provided it says USP gets 8 points and since they only have weekend visits it'll be two points but two points total for the full day or just half the day??

The USP gets 12 points a month. It's 4 points if you visit all day
