Default Marcy--like college??

My friend who is at Marcy, described day to day life a lot like being away at college and sleeping in the dorm. He has a very full day of school, with the occasional head counts. He says it's not that bad. Does that sound right??

I've never been to a prison. I only know what they show on the documentary shows on TV. I recently saw the one about Rikers and that didn't seem like college. I guess they are all different.

Any opinions???

Yes. That said, I don't think it's too much like college either. But I am glad to hear he feels that way. It sounds as though he has a positive attitude. Cool!

most prisons upstate are much better than Rikers. I am not too sure if it is as great as college, as he can never leave or ever be with his loved ones. But i hope he keeps up the positive outlook
