Default Please help! Is this going to affect his parole?

Today my husbands cell mate was involved in a fight, they searched their cell and found a knife (which was not my husbands) so now my husband is in the hole and is going to recieve a ticket from this which will effect his parole board. My husband seems to think that his celly will admit it is his since it was and he has a very long sentence and nothing to loose but I am not so convinced. When I called the prison and talked with the captain he said that hes sure it wasnt my husbands but my husband had to know it was there, do they really expect my husband to risk his life and be a snithch? So what happens now?

His cellie his in the hole also because of the fight he was in and then finding the knife. I got a phone call from a friend of his. Im driving myself crazy trying to figure out what will happen, I would think that this guy would admit it since hes gona be in trouble either way, why bring my husband down also.

If his cellie takes the charge they probably not charge your husband. If he doesnt then they will charge both of them. A write up for a weapon is serious in Tennessee.
Good luck! Hope everything works out.

Be patient, your husband knows better how to deal with life inside than you can imagine. It is a DIFFERENT world from the word get-go. YOU can only help him by believing in HIM and let him deal with what it all is IN there. Love him, listen to him, talk to him about life out here w/o itchBaying, let him be home for those 30 minutes for HIS sanity.

I definately believe in my husband and am very supportive of him but I just wish there was something I could do.
What happens when they are in the hole, are they allowed to receive letters or write letters? Also how long can I expect him to be in the hole.

Usually they are in the hold for as long as the investigation, which can take up to 7 days. If the other guy takes the charge then your husband will not be charged. Was your husband and his cellie friends or at least on good terms. If so, he would probably take the charge. But if he does not admit the weapon is his and they both get charged. They can also give him a street charge for the weapon. He can receive letters and write letters in the hole. They usually get one phone call a week, and you can visit but it is behind glass. You would need to call the prison to find out if he is in the hole and you plan on visiting. Visiting hours are different than normal hours.

Thank you everyone, Im so scared cause I havent heard anything from him or the his friend. Him and the cellie were cool, I wouldnt say friends but they got a long. I was planning on visitin him at the end of July but I live in NY so Im not about to drive 14hrs to see him behind class. Dont you think if this guy was going to admit it was his then my husband would be out of the hole already.

Yes, they all have inmate advisors. Sorta like an inmate who is a lawyer for other inmates. Shouldn't be hard for him to ask around and find out who the advisor is. The one in my husband's unit has been a great help to him.

Well I found out today that the guy my husband had call me the first time was scamming me, he told me my husband wanted me to send him money n he would get me all the info but my husband never said anything about it and my husband only asked him to call me once but the guy called 3x. I dont know what hes trying to pull but this is the last thing my husband or I need right now. I guess im just too trustworthy.

Oh, Kelly...I am sorry I am late on this one. My computer was down. Please PM me if you need anything.

I go with Notherwife. My hubby was in the hole recently and I had to trust and believe he knew how to handle the situation, you know...how things are behind the fence.

They kept him 9 days over a cell phone found in the cell. The other cell mate right off took the blame. But, they still kept him the entire 7 investigation days and told him they kept him 2 more cause there were no free beds to remove him out of the hole and place him back in his normal Annex.
