It's Official!!!

I got married yesterday to my soulmate! YAY! I spent some time the day before announcing it to everyone cuz I was feeling guilty for not doing it sooner and couldn't hide it anymore and did not want my love and marrige to my baby to be a secret. But then the 3rd came. It was set for 9am and I got there exactly at 9am, the traffic guy lied about the amount of traffic, to find that my Pastor wasn't there yet. I called him and he was still about 20min away. In that time I was waiting I spoke to the inmate services officer and he informed me that the US marshall was going to take him to a court appearance! I was like WHAT!!! But he asked them to delay because of the ceremony and they agreed! I will get back to this story. So we finally went to the place where we were gonna be married. My baby was a wreck about the news of a court hearing but very excited to become one. He was behind the glass and we did not get to hold hands for real, but they let me take up a prepared papertowel with 409 on it so I could clean the glass, lol. We plced our hands on the glass and we could feel each others warmth. My pastor said what he said and we just looked into each others eyes. It was beautiful. He had had a ring made for me on the inside and sent it to me awhile back and I had his mama place it on my hand. It was about us confessing our love to one another and to God. He was able to see his mom and sister as well who he hasn't seen in a year. They said they had to be there cuz he always said he would never get married, then he meet me. It was fast and sweet and we finished our visit. He said he had court at 2pm and asked if I would go and of course I was. He was not aware of a date nor was I and it made us both nervous of what it would be for. So I get to the courthouse and am waiting for him to come out. Get this! It wasn't even him it was another inmate that had the same name and different middle name!!! Can I say relief! Then I had to take his my mama-in-law and sis-in-law back home about an hour away. In doing this I missed his call. But over all yes it makes me sad he is not here with me but I knew what I was getting into and I prepared myself for what it would be. It was emotionally high and low and all the in betweens. I am happy and proud to be his wife! To all those getting married in this situation, be as prepared as you can be and try to fully understand what it is that is going to happen and how it is going to happen. Not everyone can or wants to get married in this situation so be sure. Best of luck to you all and God Bless!

Sorry you went thru all that sometimes it happens and we have no control over it but understandable that we get upset cuz that is something we look forward to. On the other hand CONGRATS to you both and wish you a life long happiness.

Congrats! I know you are glad to be a Mrs. now. We are just starting the process and I'm already nervous as can be. But it inspires me to come and read about couples who have experienced this journey.

We were married May 27th of this year. It has made me miss him more!! I know you probably feel the same way! I was very happy that we were allowed to touch,kiss and hold hands, but other than that it was like you said very up and down. Congrats to you !!!! I will be so glad as you when they are home!!!
