Default Visiting early a.m. question - Gurney Unit - Texas Prison Unit

My son left Gurney about May 4 or 5 for C Moore. I just learned he is back in Gurney. What's up with that? Is it unusual to be moved that quickly??

For those visiting your loved ones early in the a.m., can you tell me how long it takes to get in to visit if you arrive at 8:00 a.m.? I visited him when he was there last but didn't go early, so had to wait three hours to get in.

TIA for your help.

Have you been back to Gurney? If you get there early... I get in line at 5 am to get a good spot in line. If you get there later, you'll have to stand outside in line for hours.

I visited my husband for the first time at Gurney this past weekend. Taking the advice of others, I got there very early. Arrived at 6am, and was the 12th car in line. Once 8am hit everything moved quickly and I was in the visitation room by 8:30. The only wait I experienced was sitting at the booth 30 mins waiting for them to send my husband out. I would much rather wait in my car for a couple hours instead of standing in line for that long.

the lines are horrible every time i go i have waited as many as 4 hours just to get in there. its a shame they have such a small visiting area and it takes so long to see him. contact visits are held in a even smaller room and it takes longer than a regular visit to get in there.

One drop of blood from Jesus covers all our transgressions.
