Hey Coffield Ladies, I was just wondering if any of you have recieved any phone calls from your husbands? Mine usually calls about every three days, last time he has called home was Sat. afternoon of last week. Just wondering if maybe they were on lockdown and they couldn't call
When I talked to mine on Sat, the 17th, he said that they had got a "BIG" shipment of peanut butter in. He works in the kitchen out at the trusty camp. He said that mean lockdown was coming up. Maybe he will call tomorrow, if he doesn't then that may mean lockdown time. Please let me know if any of you hear that they are on lockdown. Many many thanks to you all.
Just got a call from my husband, they are not on lockdown yet. He said a rumor is going around, as he put it " inmates rumor" that next week they are to go on locksown status. I will believe it when I hear it because you know how those inmate rumors go.
Same here as I know they are not on lock down I called an checked today for a friend who thought the same thing, an her man called today an didn't say anything about a lock down, so we wont really know till it happens I guess.
They are due for their 6 month lockdown at any time. I pray that tdcj considers that this summer is hotter than the last many summers. It is already 20 degrees hotter in a cell that outside!! I can only imagine the frustration and fights among two men in a 9x5. And, some COs will love writing all those cases.
I noticed that my caller ID shows my last two calls from Johnny listed from Evercom Systems and it's a different phone number. Good thing I took the strange call!!
I did hear that from my husband that anytime now they should go on lockdown. They, meaning TDCJ don't care one way or another that it is hot and even hotter than it was last year. They love nothing more that to write cases, just stick it to them. I hope most of them have a fan at least. I know in this heat a fan doesn't do much but circulate the hot air.

hello cowgirl juss wanted to let you know there was some problems on the unit with the inmates. But i did get to speak to my husband 3 times today. Its our anniversary. I really miss him.
Really, thanks for letting me know. I don't talk to my husband everyday, only twice a week. The last I heard from him was monday of this week so he should be calling sometime thursday or after. Thanks for letting me know. Was the problems in general population or out on the trusty camp do you know? My husband is out at the trusty camp. Happy anniversary to you and your husband. Hang in there.

I got a call this morning about 9am still not on lockdown. He said he didn't think they were going to go on lock down until after Ramadan was over and I think he said it lasts for 30 days.

What is Ramadan? He called today and of course I forgot to ask if something happened. I won't talk to him again until I go see him this weekend (unless he sees IPO) because we only have 3 calls left and its only the 13th! We absolutely have no phone control!
Religious observance of Islam. Last from or is expected to begin on or around August 11, 2010 and will finish on or around September 10, 2010.

Maybe I misunderstood my husband, which is a good possibility. I thought he said it was already going on....I will ask him again when he calls tomorrow or sunday. If you talk to your husband ask him and let me know, being out at the trusty camp wouldn't make a difference one way or another. When we called yesterday he said that he didn't see the annual lockdown until after it Ramadon was over, sometime in Sept, so maybe I misunderstood him. Don't they fast for a month solid?
