The last several days the "white noise/static" has been so bad when my husband calls me that we can barely catch a word the other person is saying. I have had my phone checked, all new equipment installed, tried various phones. Always the noise when he calls. Same thing happened last December for many days. I'm in tears trying to hear his voice. Anyone else having the same problems with the phones? I understand the MDOC is getting $900,000 a MONTH from PCS for the "Special Equipment Fund." I'm just begging for a brief phone call once in a while.
We've been having our calls terminated for no reason. We will be just talking about random stuff and all of a sudden it says "your call is being terminated", but then it let's him call me right back. Its weird and it makes me mad. Its been happening a lot.
If you are having problems with the prison phones you need to contact
Cheryl Groves 517-373-0287 , or email her grovesc@michigan.gov
She is the contract compliance inspector at the MDOC for the GTL phone contract, and says she has not received any complaints about the phones.

Yes, he's at Kinross. This same problem occurred last December. Thanks for the contact number. When I tried to resolve a problem a couple years ago, I got nothing but grief from Kinross. Didn't know there was a contact number back then.
