Question Moving to Morgantown to be closer to him, advice?

I am trying my best to make it work but I just lost my job. I have to move home which is 800 miles away. I want to move to the town that he is in, but I am scared that I wont be able to survive. I have never had any government assistant or anything and I am lost. I don't know where to start, I am trying to make this work. I have heard so many stories about women who have uprooted their family to be closer to their man, and I commend them for doing that. I am wondering how?? How do they move there, what are the procedures to getting started to make such a drastic change?!!

Question: Is there any one who made the move? How?

Please help, I am willing to take any advice/ideas/suggestions offered.

I've never moved to be closer to my man, at the moment I have a lot happening and i just can't no matter how much I'd like to. I find it so sweet to those people who have. I mean it'd be such a change and I know I'd find it so hard. I wish you the best of luck wherever you go. I'm sure you deserve it. P.S~ Sorry I'm no help xoxo

Hi Lady,
I am really not familiar with the housing situation in Morgantown, but suggest that you check craigslist for one thing. Not sure what kind of housing you need, but it looks like rentals range from $500/month on up. Good luck!

I'm almost 800 miles from my man too. We make our long distance relationship work. It's hard sometimes but our love is strong and our hearts know no distance. In fact, i moved farther away to get a better job and eventually make our lives better when he comes home. I'm not sure this helps. Best wishes to you.

I sort of moved "home" for my man. I was living in GA and I'm orginally from NY. He is from NJ. When he was released, I waited and then moved back home.

I'm sorry you just lost your job.

You now have to plan very carefully. You said your home is 800 miles away but how far away is your man? What kind of support system will you have in place?

Peace and blessings...

Once I move back home to GA, he will be in WV which at that time will be roughly 800 miles. Rightnoe he is only an hour and 45 mins from me.
