Default Release and warrants

So my husband is scheduled to be released from prison in about seven weeks. He has a non-extraditable warrant out of California. Is there anyway I can call California or ask somebody and verify that it's still not extraditable? Can anyone tell me the likelihood of them coming to pick him up for this warrant. It is a felony warrant however it's not murder or violent crime anything like that. I'm just nervous about him releasing and the kids super excited I would be devastated to tell them he had to go back to California thank you in advance for any advice.

I wish I had an answer for you. You might want to read through the California probation & release subforum and see if there's a sticky or contact info in one of the threads there.

My husband was released from WA DOC June last year with an out-of-state warrant. I contacted the family liaison officer, to find out if the other state was going to extradite him. This was for a parole violation from 22 years ago. They were very helpful.
He's been home since June 24, 2015. And now the next part of our journey begins...

That's awesome. Where would I be able to Family lisian officer for our area?? Thanks for the info. His warrant is only 5 years old o believe. Another question did your husband get out on his 10 day early release or did they make him stay until the actual release date to see if the other state was even going to come get him or not?
