Has anybody heard from a loved one since the plane crash? was expecting a call by 2pm. I know they say there were no reported injuries besides the pilot but of course I'm still worrying

I don't know this, but my guess is they're locked down. An event like this will bring "outsiders" in and that is security reason enough to put everyone in their cells.

I too would assume a lockdown for a bit.

I know this might be hard to believe, but while I was in a Federal Medical Center prison one of the inmates made tons of money by promising helicopter escapes via the rec yard.

She targeted foreign inmates, had their families send hundreds of dollars to her and told the potential escapee when and where to go stand to await the flight.

I mention this because even though this sounds like an accident to us, the prison might view it differently.

The con artist inmate was already serving decades, was already in the highest security female prison so there wasn’t much punishment left to dole out. Plus, since she targeted non USA people they had a hard time doing anything.

Definitely does not appear there were any injuries. The news choppers flying over the site showed the spot of the crash....I didn't even see a plane. I'm doubting this was an escape attempt, but regardless, any sort of incursion like this is going to result in a lockdown, and probably a severe one, as outside personell will be there and media helicopters and news vans and lookie loos.....so I wouldn't be surprised if they stay on lockdown for a bit while this gets cleaned up and sorted out. After this, the NTSB will probably be on-site doing an investigation so I'd anticipate possibly more lockdowns to come in the next few weeks.
