I have heard several of these and found them interesting. I have heard PTOers on it also.

Voices from the Prison Action Network every Wednesday
at 8:30am. The topics vary, the program is 30 minutes (an example: a discussion on justice and dignity for women in prison and women who have been in prison at WRPI Troy). They sometimes have technical difficulties.
91.5 FM or live on the web: www.wrpi.org

[In the past I have posted a number of radio programs...if somebody finds one and cannot listen to it they can pm and I will see what I can do]

------------------------------------------------------------------

DIY (http://thislife.org/)
After four lawyers fail to get an innocent man out of prison, his friend takes on the case himself. He becomes a do-it-yourself investigator. He learns to read court records, he tracks down hard-to-find witnesses, he gets the real murderer to come forward with his story. In the end, he's able to accomplish all sorts of things the police and the professionals can't. Broadcast the weekend of February 11-13 in most places, or available via RealAudio next week.

The program is about Collin Warner, who spent years in prison wrongfully convicted of murder, and his childhood friend Carl King, who eventually got him out. Carl now runs an organization, called Success to Freedom devoted to helping wrongfully convicted

You can download and purchase the program for about $4 but you can listen to it live for free (at the right time, of course). This time the story is the entire program. I suggest you try and find when it is on in your area.
Since it was broadcast some weeks ago...you probably can no longer get it for free

Default Prison Gangs (Pelican Bay)

Haven't been able to verify this but my daughter told me there was a program at 3pm today on WBUR on prison gangs.
You should be able to listen to it for free on line at

http://www.wbur.org/schedule/

by clicking on listen live (top left)

Verified...about to listen to it now!

Keeping in touch with an incarcerated family member can take a heavy toll—literally. Members of the New York Campaign for Telephone Justice discuss efforts to address the mark-up on collect calls from prison, which can often be as high as 600%

This one is out of Livingston, Texas, and you can do shout outs and pre recorded messages, and request songs to the men on Polunsky unit/Death row on a Sunday night.
