Default DOC Inmate Locator vs Vinelink

I can find him online using the Vinelink website, but when I call the DOC Inmate Locator #, it's like he doesn't exist. Are the 2 joined in anyway? I would feel better if I could locate him via DOC... It's been 14 weeks, and I know his rap sheet will take longer, I'd just like to know that DOC acknowledges his existence in their facility.

I don't think they are linked together, if they are, they are doing a poor job of updating.

When my Fiancée was transfered, DOC locater told me the correct facility, but Vinelink had her where she was. Was a few weeks before it was correct.

Are you trying to look him up by his name and DOB or DOC Number?

I've tried every which way, DOC #, name and DOB, nothing works with DOC. Only Vinelink will show him when I use his name and DOB. It's very strange to me. My fear is that DOC still hasnt received his paperwork, and we're already 14 weeks with him in. He's sentenced, I know waiting on a rap sheet takes forever, but I'd just feel better if they acknowledged he was alive. He's even been transferred, but still no word from DOC. He's never been through classifications, straight from court to parish jail, to local work release.

I learned that quick enough. Slow as molasses is still to fast to describe DOC. I'm not complaining, just wondering...
