Do you know if county is going to have him transported directly to them?

Sometimes they release them into the community with the hold on them, then county sends them a summons to appear on X date.

The real answer is "I don't know." That said, usually DOC wants them off their books as fast as possible, so my guess is that he'll either be released on his own and summoned or he'll be transported to county on April 1st.

I can't say for certain, but my guess would be "no." DOC can't, by law, release someone prior to their calculated release date - even if it's to move them to a county facility.

Has he been able to call you? He should have more information this close to the date (and I say "should" as opposed to "will" because sometimes... well, we all know how the system does or does not always work).

In Oregon, transports take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, whether they are coming or going.

Yeah, it's the Not Knowing part that is the absolute worst in this whole situation.

Here's hoping that you find out soon.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Is he going back to trial, or is the jail hold for an existing jail sentence?

Either way, here's hoping that things move along faster than they feel like they're moving along right now.
