Default Oregon Post Prison Supervision - where does he check in when he releases?

My boyfriend will have to do this upon release...obviously.
He said he has to go "check in" after he gets out.

I've been looking around (I realize they will probably give him something when he gets out but I'm just jumping the gun)... and I'm just curious if anyone knows if the BPPPS address on the DOC is the actual one you go to? Or is that just their "corporate" office?

2575 Center Street NE, Ste. 100
Salem, Oregon 97301-6854

I don't know anyone who has been released from prison, yet. So hopefully someone here does!

Thanks!

Thats just the main location at the capitol. Each area/region should have their own and some of them are still called "Parole and Probation" offices, despite the fact that there are truly few people eligible to be released under 'parole' any longer.

I just happened to notice that your address is listed as Salem, so it might be, but I still doubt it.

A release officer should meet with him at least a couple of months before his release and put together a "release plan" so he will know where he's going to allowed to live and where he needs to meet with his parole officer. It will be the Community Corrections office in the county to which he is releasing. Usually, inmates have to be released to the county where they were convicted - unless granted permission to live elsewhere.
