Question POLL: how long was he in Jackson Diagnostics?

My man just got into county and the NOT KNOWING is the worst part! So, just wanted to create a poll to at least tell him what you all responded with about how long your man was in diagnostics before being placed in a prison.

THANKS!

I am more concerned at this point how long they will have to sit in the county before being sent to Jackson.

Guess I'm an exception to the rule, because my man stayed about 4 months in Jackson. Then again, he was sent to the hole at one point so that could of played a part in him staying so long.

My husband was in county jail for about 9 weeks and then spent about an hour at Jackson. He (and the rest of the guys on his bus) got off the bus in the parking lot at Jackson, stood in the parking lot for about an hour, and then got loaded onto another bus and went to Coastal State.

My Mannie was sent to Jackson September 20th, just 3 weeks after he was sentenced. He was there until right before Thanksgiving. Now he is in Sumter County C.I.
He said he is so glad that he finally made it out of Jackson.

Well, my husband violated his parole, so he signed a waiver form for six months. So he will be going back to jackson(through diagnostics) on a technical violation. He is still at the county jail waiting to be transferred....he been there going on almost two months now......so can anyone tell me how this will go? And will they send him somewhere closer to where he lives???? Any information will be helpful. He never violated before but he has been to jackson before

Hello,
I'm not sure when they will pick him up. I would assume soon since he only have 6 months to do. My bf just left Jackson. He was there from Nov.2 to Dec. 2. Once before, he did that waiver thing. He was sent to a prison where all the inmates had 6 months or less to do. It was really laid back. I can't remember if he was at coastal or whitworth. They definitely do not care where he live, unfortunately. Right now he is in a prison 4 hours away from me.

My son was at Jackson just about 2 months before they transferred him to his permanent location. He said for 2 weeks he was in solitary until after all the evaluation was done. We did get a phone call & a couple of letters while he was there but not right away. He was moved before he was eligible for visitation.

My fiance is going on his 3rd week at Jackson, just got a email that he is going infront of the parole board before he is shipped to a camp. Is that normal bc I always heard you don't go infront of the board until u were at a camp. Is this a good sign that he may be released soon? He was sentenced to 2 years but has already served close to 6 months in county. I've read about a "fast track" is that really something They do in GA? TIA

Hello Cmcconahay,
this is what is going on with my husband now, but he has less than a year and has been locked up since July 17 the. How did it end up working out? He's been transferred a few times and he is now back at Jackson.

My husband stayed at Jackson for from Feb 12 to May 30. He has a pending habeas corpus then he was transferred to Coffee Correctional for about 8 days then transferred back to Jackson for court and he has been there as a sleeper for 7 days. Thought that he was going to transfer back to coffee today since transfer days are tuesday and thursday, but that hasn't happened as of yet.
