Red face Can tpm change?

Does anyone know if a tpm can change to a month that is before the month that is set? My husband is doing a year and is max out date is February 2018 but his tpm is November 2017 he has taken a class and is in the process of taking another class that is scheduled to be completed June 14th. Is it possible that the board can review his case before his tpm? Has anyone had a love one get out before their tpm?

Hi there.

Is this in a GA state facility? I'd like to make sure you're getting the most accurate info possible.

Welcome to PTO!

Hi! Welcome to Prison Talk. It would be helpful if we knew if your husband was in state (which state) or federal?

I've moved your post to the Georgia forum so people more familiar with their processes can offer their advice.

My brother is in prison in Coffee Co Georgia. His TPM was October this year, but back in February they changed it to April this year. He said they never told him why. His release date was April 26 but he's still sitting in there for having no where to go. I am looking like crazy and the prison is not helping with this like they are suppose to.

A TPM can change, but having the tentative parole month move closer normally happens because PIC points are applied. These are awarded for completing classes, prison jobs and the completion of their reentry program plan. I don't think your husband is eligible for PIC points because of his short sentence, they only apply to those with 2 or more year sentences. I don't want to give you bad information, but I would encourage your husband to keep up the good work and stay in the current class. You can always petition the Board for a early release, but they reviewed his case when they set the TPM and the next review is not normally until the tentative parole month.
