Default Extended Family Visits/Overnights policy question.

I'm trying to get some information on the overnight/extended family/cojugal visit policy on Connecticut (well really for all the states that allow them).

Is there any sort of waiting period before you can apply?

In Washington you have to wait 3 years before you can apply if you don't have children and 1 year if you do. We're trying to ask for them to change this and would like to give examples of how other states work.

Thanks!

Weird because it's written in their policy that they do have them. Did that recently change?

While it is written in policy, no CT prison provides them, or has provided them in some time. I would think it would be difficult to date when they were discontinued since policy continues to make allowances.

That policy is there, just teasing us...

p.s. You might want to look internationally as there tends to be more progressive thinking in other countries. You can use these as examples of what is possible. Best of luck!
