PONTIAC — Randy Pfister, acting warden at Pontiac Correctional Center, has been placed on administrative leave and is under investigation by the Illinois State Police.

Stacey Solano, chief public information officer for the Illinois Department of Corrections, said a special prosecutor will be handling the case but declined to give any other details.

PONTIAC — A special prosecutor investigating the acting warden at Pontiac Correctional Center has recommended that no charges be filed, the Department of Corrections announced Friday.

Randy Pfister “will remain on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal department review, which is standard protocol,” said DOC spokeswoman Stacey Solano via email.
