Default "Best" max security in OK?

My brother-in-law is in a max. security prison in the North Eastern part of the country and we've been offered to get him transferred somewhere closer because of his mother's health. We're in TX and don't want him in the state - our system is pretty bad, from all I understand - but I don't know anything about the OK system. Is there a max. security prison that we should request? What's your opinion of the system compared to what you know of others? Thanks so much - I didn't know where else to turn....

Default stay where you are

There are only two max facilities in this state, OSP (Oklahoma state pennitentary) and OSR (Oklahoma state reformatory) i would suggest you stay where you are at. Texas has a safer system then Oklahoma, Oklahoma is in the middle of a overcrowding problem and to transfer into that would not be a postive step forward

From my experiences with OSP I would never recommend that place! It is also a lock down max prison so most are in their cells 24/7 unless yard is running or they have a job/school....
