Phones Are Out! Argh!!!!!!!!!

The phones at the MSP in Warren are down for almost every single inmate. There seems to be a problem with the rebooting of the network - so everyone is affected.

Hang in there - just like me - they'll be back on soon.

Looks like they're going to have a new phone service here in Maine. Just had a call from Christopher and it seems that everyone now will have to call and setup an account for either prepaid or collect. Sounds like one of the YUCKY phone companies to me.

arrrrrrrrrrghhhhhh!!! well hopefully it wont be any of the ones I have dealt with which all seem to be the same company now...seems like CBS/TNetix/Evercom (or whatever they call themselves now) are taking control of the correctional systems phone service....isnt there something in the law about monopolies?????

anyways, i hope they get the proble fixed soon. I just waited for a half an hour for my guy to call and thaTS TOO MUCH to have to wait today, i just needed his voice so bad!!!

Looks like if you're a Verizon customer you are all set. Everyone else will have to set-up a Prepaid account with a company called APA (Advanced Payment something or other).

I'm still waiting for Christopher to call, but he doesn't know to select the prepaid option instead of collect.

Oh well, I hope to hear from him soon.

Anyone know about problems with the phones at Maine State Prison? My baby just called with the one minute free call and all he got to say was I love you and that my phone was blocked and that there have been problems the past few days with the phones. Im confused.

Phones are working fine at BCF. The one minute deal is usually when they want you to setup the prepaid account and are no longer eligible for third party billing.
