I completely understand your feelings on this. Although I personally grew up with Troy as a young teenager. I met Troy when I was 12 or 13 and we hung out daily. He is a great person but he has some serious violent tendencies. If you were his friend, you were solid. If you crossed him, that was something you just didn't want to do. I too watched this doc on him and was horrified to know that I knew this man and cared for this man as a friend. I just couldn't fathom it. But I also completely understand his mind. He was not the type of boy or man to bow to another man, period. He stood up for himself and proudly!

i think troy is popular amongst a certain groupie element being how he's pretty high profile and gets a ton of mail from them. he may be trying to get away from that.

He was on a couple of the prison TV shows I saw, so I'm sure they generated much correspondence. I guess it's up to him if he wants to read it or not.
