Most definitely, I told my son sometimes I would just love to be there and spend a day or two with him. I told him I would have to have the bottom bunk. At that time he was in PC and did not have a room mate. He got a big kick out of that. I really would though, I may be emotional or it may be to difficult to really see how he lives everyday of his life, but I would go in a heart beat, just to be able to hug him, kiss him and tell him I am always going to be there for him. I think they may need to know that we will go to a cell or the ends of the earth to be near them, ( I don't mean to imply in a criminal way or forever) but that is just me.

Yes,I would visit his cell if given the chance. Just to see and get a feel of what it is like for him. And I'd say it would stur up some emotions. It would be a real quick visit, though.

This is a great question! My answer is yes~ I would and I HAVE!!!!! I was a co when I first met him.....we didn't have anything going on but as I was going through the unit to do count, he would always turn OZZY on for me to listen too. I used to have to search his cell so I got plenty of time in there......I was away from my job for almost 4 years when he was released and came to see me in MY territory.....It kicked off right away!!!! He went back in for 18 months and I rode with him through it......he is out now and we are living together and we are happier than we have ever been!

I'm slightly claustrophobic and would worry that I would be stuck there and couldn't leave. Just thinking about it can give me the sweats.

The only way I would want to visit his cell would be if he was there and a CO took me to it. Oh....you know it would be ON!
But to just look at it...no

Most definitely! I would want to see how he set it up, and where he's been spending his time these last 9 months.

UPDATE-I asked my man this question and he said "this was a tough one but my answer would be no. I wanna make love to you more than anything in the world. but I could not let you go through what they put us through everyday, to be brought down to this level just because you love me"

Yes, I'd like to tour with him, safely of course, all areas that he goes. I like to know what he's dealing with, what the CO's deal with, what the layout is.... where he writes me from....and see where my pictures are. He said they're in his locker...all over his locker hung up. J told me he doesn't keep them out cuz folks are too nosy and he doesn't want to share with them the best thing that has ever happened to him -- well ONE of the best.

Since a few of you have this knowledge..... what DOES a typical cell look like.......what about the other areas - again typically?

Thanks! Great post.

Blessings,

Doni

My baby is having someone draw it for me. He is also having someone draw the tv room and where the phones are so I can picture it.If I could I would visit. I would sleep in it, I would eat in it. When we build our next house I'm thinking about putting a replica in it just to remind him we will never go back and not cause we not getting caught either lol. It is because he has straightened up and he is flying right!

I would if I knew those doors wouldn't close on me and lock me in. The thought of being locked in scares me to death.

Yes. Definitely yes. I would like to seea place that had become a substantial part of his life. Something to share between us, help understanding of the times he went through.

NO! Definately not, he describes his cell to me and it is hard enough imaging but to actually see it, then reality would set in for me of his living conditions for the last 3 1/2 years. That would be too hard to bear.

I would not be able to turn down the opportunity.
If for nothing else, I would just die to be able to plunder in that locker I hear so much about. Oh, yes.

Personally I have seen just one too many documentaries on prison life on MSNBC to want to have a close and personal look as the cell that holds my loved one. Yes, I know that prison is designed to punish those who have broken the law, but to be caged like an animal and to be surprised that a number of the inmates exhibit animalistic behavior is beyond me. My answer is no, it would be too damned emotional.
