Uh....Texas is not the place to behave the way they did. I say that meaning that the consequence should've been considered before he escaped. Nevertheless, all of our LO's made bad decisions that put them where they are now And it doesn'ttake away the pain of the consequences. My heart hurts for both you and him. Stay strong.

I believe my man also got to much time. Yes he was wrong for doing the crime but he got charged with armed robbery because of hear say from the home owner. No proof or evidence. his charges are home invasion and armed robbery, and he has to serve 10 1/2 to 30, what the heck. Anyways I have a question: Is everyone eligible for parole before their ERD or do they have to do the minimum and then be eligible? My baby was still on parole when he committed this recent crime. I really hope he has learned.

I would say my baby got off pretty fairly considering he was a habitual offender and was facing 10-99 years, they gave him 15 yrs, with good time, so he'll be out in 5-6 years. Not bad. But it still doesn't take the pain of him being gone away. He's been in since 2009, so we have 3 years left...unless he gets paroles next year, which I'm praying he will.

Well he has been in jail two weeks, barely made it to his first court apperance on Thursday due to his physical condition. The driver tried to escape the cops. My guy says he tried to get out of the car multiple times thinking he wasnt going to stop. When he finally got out of the car he got ran over by a cop car, and then they even had the nerve to beat him after. He can't even walk now! Your seriously going to beat someone after running them over? WTF!! He was trying to get away from the driver, not the cops. Yet he is facing 2 years plus double time, and the only stuff they found was in the car, not on him. So yes given the circumstances, I think he shouldn't be getting any time.

Thankfully our state is so backed up he says supposedly anyone facing 5 years or less is staying in county, which most people in county only do about half their time. Not to mention the largest jail in my county is getting shut down. Here's to hoping he's back home soon.

My brother is about to get 15 years for showing a girl his gun and telling her it was loaded. That and he lied to her about what he looked like on the internet. 15 years for that? He didn't touch her, hurt her...I think that is pretty harsh.

Well , do I think so yes ! But did he really .. No lol . After reading posts here , I realizes us living in Canada was pretty lucky . He got 13 months , for 9 drug charges , including 3 trafficking and 3 conspiracy . And he has over 30 convicted charges before that .

Yes I think my man got to much time. He is from Maine and in the FBOP currenty at USP Victorville. He got 20 years for trying to sell cocaine & fleeing the police. I just got 3 letters yesterday from him. One of them with blood on it. He said the guards used cs gas, some kind of granade gas, and shot at him with a pellet gun and after they did all that they proceeded to beat the sh*t out of him as well. I am very upset & tried calling the institution several times but got no where. My calls kept being transfered to other peoples voicemail. I left several messages and ofcourse no one has ever called back. I tried to call a local lawyer where he is locked up at but I don't have the money they want to charge. I don't know what else to do or who I can call. I even called the California Dept. of Justice, a congressman, and the western regional office and all 3 pretty much blew me off and wouldn't help. I don't know what else to do from here. I have never been in a situation like this before. Someone please help if you can. It would greatly be appreciated. Thank you!!
