I usually wear something v-neck cause he likes cleavage.
I am not allowed to wear red or certain colours or he'll get beat up-
so I stick to simple black & white some blue and greys...

I don't do sexy or too revealing,
as once too much cleavage lead to a problem from some weird guy
who was visiting some other guy- which also just leads him to being jealous and I don't want that at all...
so I play it safe.

As for me I traveled 27 hours on a bus and all I had was what I took with me. I visited 5 days (I had a fashion crisis for the first 4, too sheer, too tight, too short, whatever). But now, four months later I am seeing him the end of this month, and since I wont be wearing heels and all when he gets home, I am just gonna be me. Jeans, t-shirt's or nice blouses. Nothing special I send him pics all the time so he knows all my fashion flaws and loves me anyway.

I traveled over 3,000 miles, (by plane and by car) to get to my man, and I had a 11hour flight delay, and then problems at the rental car place, then I got lost- so I lost the whole friday visit except for 45 minutes- and let me tell you, I looked like a pile of hot crap, when I saw him Friday-and also had been crying because of losing the time, and being lost- and wearing the same clothes for over 24 hours, and all that. He so din't care tho- we hadn't seen each other in 11 MONTHS!
The next day I looked MUCH better, and Sunday I really went the extra mile for him and wore a dress and heels, and he LOVED it. I had to go buy a bra without underwire, tho, it went off in the scanner. But they let me wear my jacket inside, which they never would here in Hawaii.

Where my man is at they will find any reason to send our asses down the street to Walmart to but a new outfit, we can wear jeans but they will make you bend over to see if our booty is out.. must have shirts with sleeves, and they tell you to take off the jacket too, to see whats underneath.. If it is the"female?? co's" they dont play.. so I try to dress cute as far as it can go!!!

Oh to learn from experience....I wore a cute dress that flattered my shape my first visit and damned near froze to death the visitation room was like 40 degrees...from then on out I wear jeans and my usual stuff since I am a cowgirl he likes me to wear tight jeans, boots etc...going to visit tomorrow YEAH! And at USP Coleman 1 they finally fixed the AC to where you can not see your breath when you visit but it is still long sleeve weather in there. I noticed most people were wearing just jeans some really wild women dressed like they were at the club but most wore jeans and a BIG coat to not freeze

Just jeans and a sweater for me - I am sure I will switch to capris and a t-shirt in the summer.

I dress sexy, but not to sexy where they won't let me see him. Especially since I can only see him once a month.

From day one I've been harrassed with my clothing. The first time in county I wore jeans with a cute top that covered me up and it covered my stomach. I was harrassed to go and change into a sweatshirt while all the other girls got in with short skirts that's my luck! In prison for the first time I wore a business suit. A pin stripe one and I covered up. The Co's told me it was formal fitting and I got stuck wearing one of there shirts ugly with palm trees, and gray of all colors with a business skirt and 6 inch high heels. I was upset! Now I wear all black and the same outfit so i won't be harrassed, I'm a very busty women so I do everything to cover them up. It's horrible that I always get harrassed when god gave me these breast! lol

Typically professional casual, just like I would at work, that's the plan. Black or grey slacks, sweater, no jewelry though and shoes....

Sounds like you had a rough time.. I am busty too and have yet to go through all that.
It is hard to find something to wear. I call and ask exactly what they want and still don't know for sure. I know heels not over 3 inches are ok. nothing that shows you have a shape LOL Sure can't show skin. I am always curious what prison some are visiting that can wear low cut tops and skin tight jeans or short skirts since I have always had to cover my chest up to the collarbone. Shirts must be hip length so when you reach up or over nothing is exposed. Skirts and dresses always raise eyebrows. So I stay away but have worn them in the past. I have a very comfortable soft pink t shirt from Victoria's secret with the name on front of shirt but I bet that will not be allowed either.

I can understand some of it since you always have someone that needs to be the center of attention and will go half naked just hoping to get a "rise" out of all males and that has screwed it up for the rest.

What gets me is they make all of us dress like nuns, yet some of the office workers and other employees get by dressing like hookers. Go figure

I was supervising visits one time near Valentines Day. A lady came in to see her boyfriend right after work and was in her work clothes. He comes in and sits down and berates her for coming to see him close to Valentines Day in her work clothes. She says "F*** You" and walks out. He continues to sit at the table eating his chips. I say "Well, come on. I guess your visit is over". As I send him back he says "It's almost Valentines Day. She should have worn something sexier. Not her work clothes." I was like "yeah, the nerve of her taking time out of her schedule after a long day at work to come see you in her work clothes." He couldn't tell if I was being sarcastic or not (I was).
I don't know if that relationship continued or not.

I have never had visits before before my fiance is not in yet...but it is inevitable that I will be doing this. I am shocked at how strict some of the dress codes can be. I am also shocked at how greatly they vary from place to place...

Are there very specific written policies on dress code from place to place? How does that work? Are they published online or something?

I'm a little concerned because I'm big busted and there's not a lot I can do to cover that up, ya know?
