Welcome to the PTO Family mebejay, WCC and Gypsy63!

Fluvanna High! What my niece and I sarcastically called it! I am so glad I am home and back in California, wish I could get my niece out of the sewer pit of Fluvanna and Virginia!

One thing at a time, got me safe and out of VA first, next my niece. She will never be free - not in this life time - but at least here or in Mass. she will be close to loved ones.

Welcome home Gypsy, glad you are out of that place!

Patti

Talking Did 15 months Dublin-FCI (womens)

I did 15 months in Dublin-FCI and I was released may 20, 2010. I did 5 months in halfway house (6 weeks was pre-release). My case was out of Reno NV, but the halfway house BOP released me to was in San Francisco, and I chose to relocate here. I'm out of the halfway house and living in a homeless shelter. BUT, I HAVE MY 10 YEAR OLD SON WITH ME and it's AWESOME!!!

Lizandgage,

Welcome to your new home of San Francisco and Welcome to the PTO Family!

I just made it back home to San Francisco after 24 years in the spring of 09.

It is good to be home!

Check in the employment forum of PTO next time you visit. There was a posting for an Employment firm specializing in finding jobs for ex-cons located in San Jose.

There was one in Oakland as well at one point, but I don't know if either still exist. I will see what I can find out.

Patti

Lizandgage,

This is the link to the Employment Forum here at PTO try starting here:

http://www.prisontalk.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=53

Also, if you need housing I am still looking for the place in Oakland that I am aware of that may be able to help in that matter.

Have had no luck on that as of yet, I am beginning to wonder if it even still exists.

Patti

Sorry to hear that. Hope it works out for the best and you don't have to make the same road trip through the Fed system that you have in Missouri.

Have you checked out the Fed Forums here yet?

I'm Janey and I just got out of Plane State Jail in TX for theft. I'm 30 and have been in and out since I was 19. My mom and aunt are in for forgery and my brother just got 3 years. We ain't the Brady Bunch! LOL. It's been lonesome since I got turned loose, so I'm glad I found this place.

I spent my 4 & 1/2 years on Lane Murray(Gatesville)...and Lockhardt pre-release...not coutning diagnostics etc...I'm ex TDCJ # 844943,thats a number that will forever be drilled into my mind. Some say"after a while u get used to being in prison".NOT ME.Everyday was a miserable one without my family, fresh air(when I wanted it)...etc...Its only by the Grace of God I'm still free.Free from prison, and free from that life of drugs.

Texas born&bred, my grandkids are the 7th(I think) generation born here. Did time in two swipes for three convictions = on Ferguson (when it WAS the "Gladiator School"), Clemens, with a few days on Jester II, Ramsey II and the Walls; woke up and said "goodbye" to that life in 1975, hopefully forever. Thirty five years later it still causes problems, the price you pay for not thinking ahead. Life is for learning and helping others, if my experiences can't do some good they sure were a waste of time.

Smile I'm a new man!!!

I did my time at the medium at Beaumont federal corrections complex. My life took a drastic turn for the better in that place, God got a hold of my life and I've never been the same. Thank you Jesus. I was there from January 2007 - September 2010 for bank robbery I got 63 months because I used a note. I'm here because I have a lot of good christian brothers there and I like checking on news from that place. It isnt as volatile a place as it used to be. It has changed a lot since they took out the aztecas and Texas syndicate I went through three riots and a bunch of lockdowns. I just received a letter from one of my bros. and he says the email is now in operation there . I'm still trying to find a job out here and if anyone knows where I could possibly get help that would be greatly appreciated, thank you. P.S. I'm also having a hard time finding a doctor that will give me new prescriptions ( I have high blood pressure) I don't have insurance and I need new prescriptions and need to get them filled thanks.

LOL! I've been on this site for a year and just found this part. I'm Kendra, spent a month and a half in Wells Co. jail, a month at Rockville, a month at Madison and 5 months in work release(in Indiana). Then was shipped back home to Alabama to serve 9 months on parole. 18 month sentence for a first time class D felony possession of a controlled substance(vicodin). For anyone in Indiana, first my condolences, then don't take a vicodin into a state park and stay up past 11 p.m. drinking beer. They frown on that behavior. My old lady is still in Indiana women's prison. I've been out since 11/30/09. I'm off paper and just finishing my first semester of an associate's degree in industrial electricity. I decided to put my inherent disregard for personal safekeeping to good use by playing with voltage instead of getting wasted and breaking more bones.

9 Months at FPC El Reno Oklahoma. 3 years on paper. I have been out now for 4 years. Thank GOD that time of my life is over; however I still think about it from time to time and get pretty upset about it. They DO put people in prison for copyright infringement, go figure.

I've done 2mos in Clark County Juvenile Detention Center in Clark County/Las Vegas, Nevada, and 2.5mos at Santa Ana Detention Center & JA Musiq Facility "The Farm", in Orange County/Irvine, California. I haven't done that much time at all, compared to alot of other people on here, but if I can be of any help just ask. -Babysnacks
