Default USP Tucson Info please

My boyfriend just got transferred there from USP Big Sandy. They still have very few people in that new facility. The food is not bad so far.
Does anyone have loved one there?

My man is in this camp. He's gained almost 20lbs in four months! He says the food is good and the CO's are cool. There's a soccer field, basketball courts etc. They have tournaments like everyday. There's also school for them and different jobs. Need more info. just message me.

How long does your boyfriend have left? Your lucky to get to see him.I live in Kansas and can't afford to go to see my boyfriend. He transferred there in Jan but it feels like I haven't seen him in so long.

Default Why would they move to Tucson USP

I got a call today from a guy who was being housed in a county jail in MO for the US Marshall Srvc and was going to be released on the 17th. They have moved him to Arizona! Why on earth would they do that??? He is still being released on the 17th and this is for a crime in CA.
Thanks for any info.

Default SPC Tucson

This is the third time I have asked and am hoping the right person/persons will see it. Does anyone here have a loved one at the Tucson camp? Or maybe know of someone that had been there before? The place is pretty small and has a small population. Thanks in advance IF I get a response.

Default Need help finding info on USP TUSCON

I cannot find hardly any info on USP TUSCON the BOP website just tells you its high security. Can anyone fill me in on the facility I just have general question about conditions there, programs they offer, dialey routene for inmates like free time versus lock up, are they allowed to smoke or anything you feel iw ould need to know.My son is going there sept 10th and we know nothing this is a new experience for our family and its tearing us apart. And we cant understand why hes ending up there he is one of most none violent people you could ever meet he truly does not need high security and bieng his first non violent crime he does not deserve it. Can it be requested he go somewhere else since there is still a little time left? Any help would be appreciated. WE are just at a loss. Thank you.

Your son must have been told if he will be at the camp?

Sometimes the place to report is not the designated facility. If there is a camp there, then he might just be self-surrenduring to the USP but being placed at the camp. I think it would be unusual to allow an offender to self-surrender to a high security designation. Also - no smoking in any federal prisons.

Zelda its people like you that are making it easier for us to cope. This is a new experience for our family and its ripping us apart.I think I can live with it if my son ends up in a camp but by no means does he need high security this is his first offence and it wasnt all that bad to boot we just could not understand why he would be sent to high security.Hopefully you are right we were sorta thinking along the same lines as you but having no experience with this maybe our thoughts were just pipe dreams hoping they will come true .Thank you again hopefuuly all goes well with anything you are going through or have gone through.
