Default USP (Tucson) Lockdown?

Hi. I have a PP in USP Tucson. He was in lockdown from the 12th to the 17th and now it may be again. Anyone know if it's in lockdown again?

Default another lockdown in Tucson?

I am aware of the lockdown in Tucson federal prison last week. My son was talking to his girlfriend Satuday night when the line went dead. I saw in news reports that someone escaped from the "camp" Friday night. Would that cause a lockdown in the USP? Anyone know anything? Thanks!

Hi rc3350: it seems they might be in lock down again. I do know that they can still receive mail and send out letters. So if it last too long, we might get letters to explain. Sucks that it happened again so fast. Let's pray it's short and won't happen again EVER.....

hey butterfly - we are in the Pacfic NW so closer than you - so hard to be SO far away! It would be great to correspond via email and support each other in an easier way than this website. I'll give it a try...not sure how to access your email address but will keep clicking! I did have a question wondering how your by can email - I thought the lockdown went into effect Saturday the 20th since that's when my son and his girlfriend were talking and the line went dead......

So I am guessing no one has information on the medium in Tucson? I know there are two different sides, but had heard it is a Protective Custody yard? Any word out there..thank you~!

My brother is at USP Tucson he has been there now almost 3 years. He seems to like it for the most part. They get free time and good food. We just got back from visiting in June2012. This facility houses 90% SO sex offenders mostly non-violent people. There are gangs, and native americans. I find the counselors are mean and not very helpful to those of us who want to pay visits or helpful to the prisoner. If you want to know more, private message me and we can talk.

I suspect by now that everyone with loved ones at USP Tucson knows there was an inmate murder in one of the units. They are off lockdown as of this morning. God be with our loved ones and with the families of those victims. So sad........
