Question New To Wyoming Prison System Have Questions About Visitation

My husband and father of 4 was recently sent to prison. We have never had any experience with this and I really do not know what to expect.
How long before he can have visitors? What are the visits like, how long do they last as they are 8 hours away for us? Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

well webbbug, i would assume that after he has been in wyoming for 30 days anything after that he can receive visitors, and as for the visits they last from about 8:30an-3pm for wyoming I know cause my husband is also in wyoming.

Default Thank You Everyone for the Reply

Thank you everyone who replied. There was alot of helpful information and just alot of kind thoughts. Kind thoughts these days go far. There are days when things seem to get a little easier, today was one of them. We got to see my husband today, they brought him back to Sheridan from Newcastle just to transport him to Rawlins. Does not make much since but I was thankful to not have to drive to Newcastle. Thanks Again

Question confused need help

What the hell? I was given a list of approved things that my husband could take with him to Rawlins Penn and I just had to go pick it all up from the jail this morning. Not only that but they did not let him take his C-pap machine which keeps him breathing at night while he sleeps, and his blood glucose machine which monitors his sugar levels. So if he quits breathing while he is sleeping down there then what? Who do I call, what do I do. His court appointed lawyer aint worth a shit and has not returned one phone call since the sentencing. Any suggestions out there?

My son was recently brought back from Sayre Ok to Rawlins. We have filled out the paper work and hope to get approved to see him.

Smile Newbie with questions...

Hello all!
Please bear with me - I don't know a thing about this and have lots of questions!
A close friend of mine is going to be entering Rawlins sometime mid-May. We are not sure if he will stay there, but we're assuming he will be there for at least a couple of months.
I wondered if anyone knows the policies about inmates receiving mail at Rawlins? What sorts of things am I allowed to mail him?
Any help is appreciated - thanks in advance!
