e_wife- Thanks for remembering to start a new May Chit-Chat thread!
Is this your last year of school or will you be able to transfer credits etc and continue your course in Illinois?

Atalie- What a great idea ordering the bear and elephant for your brother to crochet for Logan!

Nothing much going on here really- trying to get some furniture moved out of a couple of rooms so I can finally paint them -long, long overdue! Should have done it a few years ago when I was more flexible and not so arthritic !

DLM, the animals are stuffed and about 6 inches tall. for the bear he crochets a little hat and scarf. He is going to make the bear brown with green hat and scarf I don't know about the color for the elephant.
Logan's birthday is June 10th.
It is great to see the Siblings Chat for another month. Hopefully we will draw in more members.
DLM can you come paint some rooms in my house? LOL

An update on logan's broken arm. They took him to the pediatrician their primary Dr. recommended. he said they waited to long and he could not set it and it was healing fine. My DIL asked if he could take an X-ray just to be sure and he said "Oh! your one of those nervous mothers who worry about everything." Then he said he would X-ray it next week if she still thought it was needed. She went back to the primary Dr and this time he agreed it had probably already healed ok. The break was just above the wrist and he does not seem to have any pain in it now. The insurance they have uses clinics and you can't see a specialist unless the Dr recommends it. I am really surprised my son did not knock the Dr. out. LOL

I think as long as we continue with our friendly banter .. then ppl will eventually come around to joining in .. for this is welcome to all..

DLM- my credits will transfer.. just trying to get high marks in these last 2 classes before i move. Have fun painting .. you gonna be creative and get stencils and paints characters on the wall.. lol

Atalie- my daughter will be 3 on june 16th.. I am glad that logan is pain free now .. As far as the doc.. i hate those types .. my daughter's pediatrician's says he rather a mother who worries than one who just takes anyone 's word and neglects their fears. nothing pisses him off than a mommy who doesnt care enough... we love him something awful.. lol ..

For all those lurkers .. welcome to siblings chat .. feel free to post and join in the conversation.

My pediatrician was like that too.He never got impatient with my anxiety and I had to be the most nervous Mother ever! I hope you can find one just as good in Illinois. Good luck with your courses-I am sure you will do just fine!

Atalie- That pediatrician sounds so patronizing .You would think he would insist on an X-ray himself just to protect himself against a poss. lawsuit. I know Doctors are really concerned about that these days.

Atalie-How did it go at the hairdressers- did they cut it the way you asked? I have so many problems when I go I am beginning to dread it. They always want to do things I don't want done and they always have to remark on my gray hair as if they have never seen such a strange sight before .I have earned every single one of my gazillion gray hairs and I am keeping them !

I have used the same hairdresser for a long time and she usually does pretty well. I know what you mean about the gray hair thing. I let mine grow out last year then turned around and dyed it again. Then my husband told me he loved it salt and pepper so I am in the process of letting it grow back out. I keep it short during the summer so it won't take too long. I have it such a pale blond that you can't tell where the new growth is. LOL Mine is mostly white with some gray. I just gave into the youth thing and felt old. But the fact is it looks good on me so if I look older so be it. Like you I have definitely earned the gray.

Hi Sheila- so glad you found the Chit-Chat thread too! You must be really busy having a 4yr old and an almost 1yr old! Is the 1yr old getting ready to walk yet? What are their favorite TV shows?

Weather here getting ready to storm but we need the rain supposedly. I can predict a thunderstorm the day before it happens as I get excurciating migraines (like today).I always say the Weather Network should hire me as I am far more accurate than the meteorologists!

That must be awful to get a migraine everytime you get a thunderstorm!
We had rain off and on the last few days. I much prefer that it just pour down and get it over with. It is sunny today and warm. I have really had an unproductive week, I should do some cleaning today as I have been pretty lazy all week. I stayed up until 2AM watching Pride and Predjudice, it was pretty good. I didn't think I would like it because I did not like the book, It was no "I Walk The Line!" mind you LOL but it was ok.

Yes, my little girl started walking two days ago. It's amazing to watch them learn! I just love my girls.

Kaila is turning 1 on the 9th. Where does the time go? It's hard to muster up the courage and smile with all that is going on, but i know that i have to have a b-day party for my little girl.

DLM--so sorry about your migraines. I need to drink a gallon of diet coke a day or i get one.

We had the birthday party on Sat and all in all it went well. It was sad to see my parents so sad. My Mom had to come home early from work today. She is consumed by this case. The probation guy is supposed to come and talk with my brother for the pre sentence investigation. Argh!

On a good note... haven't cried today and my sis is flying in from Hawaii to go to my brother's sentencing. She is in the Army...it's ironic...i have on sister fighting for freedom and a brother who is losing it!

Glad the birthday party went well, it must be hard seeing your parent's so sad. It is great your sister is coming home for the sentencing, family support means a lot. I agree it is ironic that she is fighting for freedom and he is going to lose his. I will continue to send parayers your way.

Sheila- I am glad your daughter's 1st Birthday party went as well as could be expected- give her some hugs from all of us tomorrow! I can understand how upset your parents must be-it's so traumatic when this first happens. As Atalie said it's great that your sister will be able to go to the sentencing too-family support makes things a little easier.
Atalie- did you do anything interesting over the weekend? I still have to rent 'I Walk The Line'- I loved Johnny Cash!
e_wife- How is your hectic schedule? Has school finished?

Hi to everyone else here!

Sat. I worked selling food at our annual gospel concert, it was a fund raiser for my women's group. We worked our butts off for 6 hours and I think we made about $150.00, in my opinion it was not worth it. Sunday we hung out and watched movies while it rained outside. It was a nice relaxing day.

DLM--i have yet to see Walk the line. It's on my list to watch though. I get caught up in the regular TV shows that i barely have time for movies. My favorites are CSI and Survivor.

I'm going to visit my brother tomorrow night. I have learned so much from the website and can't wait to share. His sentencing can't get her fast enough. I think when i know the outcome it will be easier on me.

Where is everyone from? I live in Florida, but i'm originally from Maine. I spent 6 years in NC while i was in the Army...i just love NC. I would love to go back but hubby is content here in Fl.

Sheila

Sheila- Happy Birthday to Kaila today!!! I found some info on presentencing so you can discuss it with your brother tomorrow- let us know how the visit goes. I am in Canada but lived in the States for a number of years growing up-loved vacationing in Maine (and visiting the lobster pounds)! I love Survivor too! (Actually most reality shows)Who do you think will win-Season finale is on Sunday...

Atalie-Good for you for working the fundraiser- maybe only $150 was raised but still $150 more than your group had before.Any more good movies to recommend?

DLM--I'm a huge Survivor fan. I've missed the last two weeks with my brother's trial though. I'm really rooting for Terry though. He has come so far. Who are you rooting for?

I have found lots of info for my brother and am so excited to chat with him tonight.

We usually go back to Maine every summer, but the tickets were outrageous this summer. We went to Disney instead and had a blast. The kids loved it.

Terry too- he is an amazing player and deserves to win considering he is all on his own, w/o any alliances. I'm also glad he won the car and a visit with his wife. The fact that he's the oldest player left is another thing in his favor as far as I'm concerned- they normally seem to like to vote out the older ones first.Hope your visit goes well tonight with your brother-let us know how he's doing!
