Inmates have access to dental care even routine dental care but they have to request it and it may be up to two years before they get to see one unless its an emergency so it best to have him request seeing the dentist now.

Default dentist

I just received a letter from my son today, he told me his wisdom teeth are hurting him real bad. He needs them pulled but it well cost 150.00 and he does not have any money on his books. If i was to put the money on his books they well take 55% for his restatution. I do not have the 325.00 or what ever it comes out to after they take 55%. he said he is going to write a 602 what ever that is.

Usally inside they chage a $5.00 fee for medical service (dental also) they will do a dental check up. After that they will do what ever isneeded to be done. As far as the $150.00 News to me never heard such crap they will charge if he needs dentures. For extractions should be just the $5.00 cost. If he is in enough pain he will get his teeth pulled/ fixed and deal with the cost factor after the cause. He will not be refused medical/ dental treatment because he has no money on his books.

He is pulling your leg. If they need dental services, they will OVERDRAW his books for the $5 fee. My husband had 2 wisdom teeth removed, and it was only $5. And I am in CA.

Sorry, your son is lying to you. Also, if you were tyo send that kind of moneyu and it is for dentures i would request a letter because i could not see them tking the 55% out for a medical procedure.

When i said it was $5 i started thinking maybe i had it wrong, but i guess i didnt, i spoke to him last night and asked him about the dentist and he said yep $5, maybe your son misunderstood, i know when my pal had his pulled he had no $$$$ in his account, what they did is deducted it from his account as soon as there was funds in there

He did see a dintist and the dentist told him he needs his wisdom teeth pulled but it would cost 150.00. I do not think my son would lie to me about this. I know his teeth have been bothering him for a while. My son never asked me to mail him any money for his teeth he said he would have to file a 602 form. I do not think my son would lie to me just to lie. I do hope you are right though. does anybody know who I can call to find out for sure?

Trust me, it doesn't even cost $150.00 on the streets unless you live in Beverly Hills to get a wisdom tooth pulled. I had all four pulled at different times. 2 with insurance two without. The two with cost me a $10.00 copay. Two without cost me $75.00 a tooth, so i do not see how the California dept of corrections can charge double the amount especially knowing these guys do not have money. Call and ask for medical at the prison he is at. Now, it is possible $150.00 could be for all 4 but the priginal post made it seems like 1 tooth.
