Ali-Glad the sleepover was a success!I will be sending you tons of positive thoughts for Tuesday and for Wednesday Let us know how the interviews go .
Is Father's Day the same day in the UK as it is here?
(I know they celebrate Mother's Day on another day but couldn't remember about Father's Day). Happy Father's Day from me too to all of our brothers who have children, as well as to all of the fathers .

Yeah fathers day is the same, mothers day is different, weird. I get confused every year. My poor mother, I remember in March instead of may!!!! It is almost 9:00pm and the sun is still blazing. I love summer!!!

Ali: My girls are 4 and 1. I have two complete opposites. Thankfully the easy one is the youngest. My oldest is very high maintenence and we are going through a sassy stage. I dread the teenage years. My baby just makes me want to have a few more. I think we're done...however, i would love to have 3, but whew they are expensive!

I love summer myself! I love that we can be outside until 9pm. The birthday party went well. Alexis has way too many toys now. The grandparents spoil my girls rotten. I was able to see my brother's kids. It's sad to think that they won't know their father. {{sigh}} On a positive note, i'm babysitting them on Monday. I'm going to have my hands full--they are 4 and 2. I need to put some $$$ on my phone so my brother can call me prepaid and talk with his kids. He still is in the county waiting to go to prison. He's very nervous and i'm nervous too. Rambling here...but you gals can relate...

Sheila-Glad Alexis had a great 4th Birthday!
I am sure in the coming years you will tell your brother's children all about your brother so they will know him and hopefully once he is home they will be able to have a good relationship. Do you think that sometime in the future you might take them for a visit with your brother? At least you can make sure they write to each other and, as you said, they will be able to talk to him on the phone.

So hot and so humid here- there's a heat and smog alert. No relief even by the lake- too many people. I look forward to summer every year after such long winters and then I can't enjoy them because of the humidity (I know I shouldn't complain esp after reading an article in the paper yesterday about the heat in India during May and June -upwards of 120 degrees) . I think men can take the humidity more than women for some reason.

I know what you mean about humidity, couldn't cope in Bermuda, one of the reasons I was glad to go. I found myself being more irritable then not!
Sheila, enjoy your time with your brother's kids. I know about being nervous, I was the same and still am!
Cloudy here today, calling for rain over the next few days. Saves me watering the roses! Off to get my husband his sea legs tablets crossing the sea to Dublin tonight, calling for a bit of dodgy weather. Better him then me! Talk to you later ladies.

Ali- I have never been as seasick as I was crossing the Irish Sea on a windy day!!! Everyone on the boat that day was just as sick- the washrooms flooded and they even ran out of the seasick bags. Hope your husband has a better crossing!

Hi everyone. Sheila glad the party was a success. I would spoil my grandson's like that but my DIL frowns on excess, so I try to abide. It is very hard though!
Ali hope the boat ride goes smooth for your hubby!
Deb, it is hot and humid here too, I have had terrible allergy symptoms today and have not felt good at all.
My visit went well once we were in there. We arrived at the prison at 11AM did not get back to the visiting room until 12:45 another 20 minutes till he came in and visiting was over at 3PM.
I don't know why they were so slow except now they take everyone's picture, and they drug tested almost everyone. Of course someone failed and they stop everything until they deal with that. It was so annoying, and so crowded. My husband told me to close my eyes and I did and you can literally hear a roar above the noise, it was really strange. We drive three hours there and three hours back and my brother likes to leave at 2:15 so we avoid the masses leaving, but we could not leave at that time because we didn't start the visit until 1:10. Anyway enough complaining, we had a nice visit, my cousin and his wife also went and he always enjoys seeing them.

Oh Atalie- Your day sounded so exhausting-having to wait so long to see your brother after a 3hr drive, on top of all the humidity and noise. Glad you had a good visit anyway and I hope you will be able to relax now. I know how you feel- smog, humidity and allergies are making me feel ill too.Hope the week ahead is better.

Atalie- You must be so worn out!!! Glad you had a nice visit!
Hubby said the boat ride was rocky.
Going over some stuff to prepare for my interview tomorrow and the one on wed. as well.
Need to write my brother, got a letter from him on sat. he sounded so good, i could actually hear his voice as i read the words, telling me off as usual, but hey it wouldn't be normal if we weren't bickering!!
Weather here is horrible today, how is it with all you lot? Hope you are all well.

Alison good luck tomorrow! I am so glad your brother sounded good.
It is a little cooler today and overcast so my allergies feel better. Yesterday I was just miserable. I cleaned my bedroom today and started laundry, that is more then I usually get done on Mondays LOL I have been doing pretty good on not eating a lot, I think I actually may have lost about 2 pounds. Now I have to start getting in some exercise.

ali- In your letter to your brother tell him all about your interviews- it sometimes gets hard thinking of things to write about doesn't it? Good luck again for Tuesday and Wedsnesday!

Sounds like a typical relationship with a sibling !!!

Atalie-Good for you for losing 2 pounds!! My exercise in the summer is cutting the grass but I keep telling myself that's a lot cheaper than going to a gym . Glad you're feeling better- it's still muggy here. Supposed to be a little cooler tomorrow.

Atalie..Woohoo on losing 2 lbs. I'm getting so flabby. It's hard to get any form of exercise in lately and my only excuse is i'm lazy. I always say i'll do it in the evenings when hubby gets home and then i just make excuses. {{sigh}}

I had 4 kids today and i'm worn out. All in all it was a good day, but exhausting. I'm going to visit my brother tomorrow night. It's weird just waiting and wondering if he's leaving today or tomorrow.

Hey. My brother is ok. He's been back here near home for a couple of months now. We go see him every Saturday.

Sheila- You prob. get more than enough exercise just looking after your 2 daughters and as I'm sure you still have to carry Kaila around most of the time that must give you a great upper body workout !
Lauren- Good news about your brother- glad you can visit him regularly !
Ali-Hope the interview went well today- let us know!
Atalie- Any cooler there? There's a lot less humidity here today thank goodness. Almost feel human again.

Hi everyone!!! I got the job!!! However I do have the other interview tomorrow that I am going to go to. If I get that one it will be nice to have a choice! You wouldn't believe how I found out.... I had to take my manager in my car ( who is a total cow to put it nicely) well my work mobile went off and she answered it as I was driving, anyhow she got the hint as to what the call was about, so she told me to pull over and take the call. Then I found out and she was asking 20 questions ( she is one of the reasons I'm going) anyhow obviously she is not very nice at the moment. Oh well, Monday I will be giving 4 weeks notice, hooray!!!!!!
My brother will like the news in the letter I'll be writing him.
Atalie, well done on losing 2 lbs. I need to do something....besides eat. Sweets have become my comfort since I packed in smoking.
Will write later Bronwyn's food is burning...again!

Ali I am so happy for you, I hope yopu get the other job as well, it is nice to have choices. But even if you don't you know you got this one. :fb: :fb: :fb: :fb:
Do you pronounce your daughters name the way it is spelled? It is a cool name!
I am doing ok with my eating, still not counting calories which I should do, it never seems like you are eating as much as you are.
I used my exercise things on my upper arms last night and my arm is really sore today. I need to lift these boobs off the floor. LMAO
Deb, it is not quite as hot, high 80's and not as humid. We had a huge rain storm last night and I think it cleared some of the pollin because I feel much better.
My son is CA e-mailed me he got his ASC certication, which is the big one for auto mechanics.
I ordered my brother a magazine for crocheting, who ever would of thought it? LOL

ali- Yippee!!! How wonderful-absolutely fantastic ! (but how ironic and funny that your manager answered the phone!!! ) Hope the interview goes well tomorrow too so you do have a choice!

Atalie- Congratulations to your son for getting his ASC certif.!!! That will open up job opportunities for him won't it !
Good idea sending the crocheting mag to your brother- did you manage to get a photo of your grandson with the elephant to send him? Your brother was trying to get a job in the library wasn't he - how did that work out?

My brother is already working at the library, he had moved to the Unicore Unit so he could work in the factory, but he hated it there and so he just moved back to his old unit and is much happier, his boss at the library is going to give him a raise because he wants him to stay and it pays a lot lower then the factory. So it is all working out. I got a picture of the elephant and a picture of my grandson but not one together. that is close enough to really see.
