I hope everyone is having a good day! I have a few questions I hope someone, anyone can help me with....

My fiance has a parole review coming up August 3. He was told the other day by his caseworker, he cannot attend. Isn't his right to attend any hearing reguarding himself?

Second question.....Does anyone know how I can go about writing to the parole board about him? IE: his accomplishments, how his behavior is now compaired to 8 months ago, what he has been doing for group therapy in there, how it has affected our relationship, etc? I also want to write a letter on his behalf letting them know he does have a place to stay and so on. I have emailed some people whose names are given on the DOC site, but to no surprise to me, noone has responded.

Third question..is the review open to family and ties into the community? To speak on his behalf there at the time? People at the prison will not even give me answers, or say they do not know them. I hope I can get some response soon, the hearing is in a week and a half. HELP PLEASE!!

Call write or e-mail Dick Sears..he is a Vermont State Senator. He is listed in the Bennington phone book. He needs to know what is going on. His e-mail can be found on Vermont State web site. I am new at learning about our justice..or un-justice system. Good luck to you.
