I happened to look at my checkbook as we were arriving, and commented, "Oh, God must be sending me more money. I have $1.17 left in my checkbook." They all laughed. Praise Report. For years Charlie would not pray for his release- not join me and many others who are praying. It was fine that I pray and others pray, but he would not. He has been off work for a few weeks while they clean the shop. The Lord has spoken to him that he needs to join in the prayer for release..... He is obeying. I am so blessed, knowing all the words we have been getting about this is the year of release. My heart dances with joy.

Hey ladies. First I want to thank you all for your thoughts & prayers!!! I always feel better when I come by this thread!! God is SO good!!! All the time!!!

Right now, Chris and I are working on figuring out what he'll do when released since he will have to do his probation in NC if we do not get married "inside". IF he is transferred within the next few weeks, we would talk to the chaplain at the new facility and see if getting married was possible there without counseling. If not, then we'll be patient and wait until his release (hopefully in October after he earns his gain time back)! Honestly, I'm a bit relieved at the moment. I was stressing myself out because I was worried about how I could afford the trip, minister, etc. right now. According to the # I called today (if I qualify) - I won't receive my stimulus check until later than expected. In the long run, it's probably best because I will be able to use it for my trip to visit Chris in late June. However, it's not nearly enough to cover all the expenses that would've been necessary if we were getting married - so I know that GOD knows best! Chris and I talked and we are both really okay with the decision to slow down.. and wait (upon the Lord). We love each other and we know that in time, we'll be together. So... right now - we're both just ready for a visit! It has been FAR too long. I'm excited about it, too!!! June can't get here fast enough. I still have to call and arrange things, but I PRAY that due to distance, they'll allow me 2 visits back to back, 2 days in a row. Another facility has done this in the past, so I pray this one will be cooperative (at least in this department!). We'll see. God is capable and I'm trusting in HIM to get us through these times. I'm so glad Chris will be released this year and 2008 is truly a year of new beginnings.... and I can't wait to start our life together!

Melissa, how are you hon? Have you heard from him lately?? Your days are getting low - how long is left? I am praying for you!!! Hang in there and keep me posted.

Angel, I hope you'll be feeling better soon. God can take away the loneliness & the sadness. Trust in HIM always.

Oh yeah.. and Kay - you are so right about the checkbook story! Thanks to GOD (and my lil' brother) - mine is looking a little better. My brother has a good job out of own and has little to no bills, so he's loaning me a bit to get on my feet a little better than I am currently. Normally I would deal with it without asking anyone for help, but I know he has it and as long as it won't "hurt" him to "help" me.. then I feel okay about it. GOD IS SO GOOD - ALL THE TIME!!! I'm very thankful that HE blessed me this way!!!

As you all know... since the move to california i have been trying to get acclimated to the new job and get the kids settled... well while this was all going on... mike is having a really rough time since his parole denial....Here is the thing.... he has a birthday coming in like 2 and 1/2 weeks and i thought if you all wouldnt mind sending him some post cards or a birthday card with an encouraging passage from the bible, it might lift his spirits... If anyone is interested i would greatly appreciate it....please pm me for the information. I just think he needs a pick me up and thought maybe some scripture from around the world in our little prayer group might just do the trick. If anyone has a better idea please feel free to let me know...

I ask for your wisdom in my life and your support while mike and i are struggling with our large family... our move cost so much financially that i am asking you to help me make a dollar go farther and my costs of living be lower.... Lord, my husband needs your understanding and your support right now and i ask that you please be with him and help him to see that all is not lost. Lord, be with him and show him the way and that through all we endure we become better at being a child of the lord and that all the tough things we endure are our tests. Lord, give us the power to impact our large family and provide them with your will and their needs.

Anyone feeling overwhelmed today? I have been feeling disappointment for a little while. I pray, and I trust; but some days I just have to ask God forgiveness for my disbelief.

I pray that we each and every individual have a rich anointing. That when we feel overwhelmed that we know it's time to draw nearer to You Lord and pray. We know that when we feel weak, broken, beaten, bent or down you are truly the strength in our lives. You restore our souls, renew our minds and transform our hearts. In you we can receive gentleness, patience, and comfort. I know your perfect love takes away our fears because you've given us love and soundness in our minds. Father God, I have read and taken into my heart, the prayer requests of these sisters. I lift them to you Father, and lay them at the foot of the cross. Father, help us to nail our burdens there, that we may not take them up again, for they have been purchased, and are no longer ours.
