It depends on the country... Most countries when you apply for a visit visa do not ask if you've ever been removed from ANY country, they ask if you've ever been removed from THEIR country.

The best way to find that out, is to contact the consulate for the country you intend to visit, ask if you need a visa and obtain that application... if you don't need a visa, you can annoymously ask if a prior removal from somewhere else is a problem.

I've got a record, and I'm often checking my options out so I don't get my heart set on doing something that they'll decide I'm not allowed to do. Most of my more exotic destinations are not concerned with things I did in other countries, they ask if I've been convicted, deported, removed, in THEIR country, and if I've ever been there before.

Some countries like Canada, will require the deportation expenses be repaid (an amount that they decide, sometimes as much as a few thousand), before they will consider issuing a new visa as a visitor to someone who has been previously removed. Other conditions probably apply. In the US, you would need to file a waiver if you've previously been deported, but I don't know what your chances would be in that case, if you only wanted to visit. Most times I've heard of the waivers being used was for people who were immigrating (marriage or family) and had previously been removed or excluded from entry. Never heard of this in the case of a visitor's visa.

Best of luck.
