NC -- what can I send to him?

Hi everyone; I am writing to a DR inmate in NC and he is not writing back since day one. I am wondering if anyone knows if a Canadian can send blank paper and USA stamp(s) out, incase he cannot work 'in-side' and buy material to write me? I am still faithfully writing to this inmate because I have made a commitment and do not want to let him down, if he sees it as a let down. Thx in advance. f/50/Canadian

You can not send those things. The only thing you can do--should you so choose--is to send him money (in the form of a US money order) to ensure he can buy them. Otherwise, if he has no money on his books, he only gets so many stamps a month. That may be why he hasn't written back, yet. He may have used his monthly allotment of stamps and has to wait until the next allotment comes.

I agree perhaps you can send him a few dollars and let him know it is to write you back and if he chooses not to do so mybe you need to reconsider the friendship.

I appreciate your comments. It does put my mind to ease that he doesn't have any way to reach out. I would only write on one side to the page in pencile incase he wanted to use the other side of the page to write back, but nothin. Thanks again, mel2020/MsAkbar.. ~Kee

Kee - Perhaps he doesn't want to write. Sometimes people choose to separate from outside and just concentrate on the inside. I know my husband once told me once he would just want to think of making it through each day, but now he is just looking forward to coming home and that is what helps him to get through the weeks, months years. But DR maybe he doesn't want to write. Not sure.

I am believing you, MsAkbar. I will write him one last letter to close the relationship, as I believe he is recieving my letters. I searched the web and seen another site with him included and it stated that he is working on his innocense of the crimb he is being charged with, and for his privacy I will not let him know I seen his web-page. Also the guards may give him a hard time if they read it from me. I will keep him on my prayer list afterwards. And thanks, to all replied.
