Not new, but came back for support

Hey all... I joined back in 2003 when I first met my baby. We've been on and off during that time and we're back on. Derek has been in Waupun, Columbia and now he's in Green Bay. He's been in for 11 years already and finally got an appeal filed in court this week. I've been fighting to get my visitations back for years and started the fight up again after Green Bay denied me, along with all the others. He got caught up in some bad stuff with some bad CO's in Waupun and they've been punishing us ever since. I see that there are others that live in Appleton and if you ever want to talk, please contact me. It would be nice to talk to others again.

Hello...This is my first time attempting to post on this forum.
My 21 year old son has been at Waupun Correctional for a week now. It's about 2 hours away, but I go at least twice a week to see him. ( He was In Dodge)
I hope you could help me find out the best way to purchace items such as typewriter, clothing, radio for him. Waupun doesn't seem to be an easy place to get the right answers from.
My son will be there for a long long time and is being extremely strong....but now that he is allowed such items, I would appreciate it so much if someone who has sent things there could help. It would mean so much to him to have these simple items.

Your son would have received a rules/regulations book when he arrived in Waupun. Have him write to you what he's allowed to have, quantities and any restrictions - color, pockets/no pockets, price limits.... etc.
They have been making inmates order more from canteen instead of ordering from outside vendors.
So you'll want to start there, then when you know what you're still allowed to send, take a peak in the WI forum, we have threads in here somewhere with recommended vendors and such...

I'm in the Madison area, and my guy has been out for over a year now ... but there's a pending case which we are hoping will be dismissed since it's been pending for 4+ years, he wasn't there, and they have no evidence, and a solid alibi. But he's still on probation. We lived together twice and now they are saying that we can't "live" together till he's off paper. But his PO said he just can't "say" that he's living with me. They don't even really care, as long as they stay out of trouble.
