Default EOCI Modified Lockdown

I just read on the DOC website that EOCI is on modified lockdown. I tried to copy the message and post here but was unable to. I know this can affect phone calls and visits from when my man used to reside there so anyone who has a loved one there might want to call EOCI first if planning a visit or go to the DOC website for their info on the lockdown. Quite a few fights that have happened and alot of men going to the hole. What a mess.

Default EOCI Modified Lockdown

My Spouse called me on Saturday to tell me they were in lock down and the food he was getting was minimal like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and that he was happy that he had had the forsight to buy noodles from the canteen. He was allowed to call me but I still worry when lockdown happens as it means tensions have risen. He hates when the food goes substandard as he says it pisses people off even more. I am so glad I was able to visit him the week before without a hitch,,,,,,,,, I would have been beyond angry if I would have gotten there and wouldn't had been able to visit after a four hour drive and the incredible amount of effort it takes for me to plan all of it.

My guy wrote and was complaining about the sack meals too. He plans ahead too so I know he was okay but still. He says the recent fights have been gang related so who knows when things will calm down. He's really glad that he has his tv and the books I send to keep him busy during the lockdown. I am so glad that he will be transferring out soon.

I heard there have been fights between whites and Mexicans, leading to the lockdown situation. Hope tensions ease soon. Z.

Got another letter from my guy and he said that EOCI just cleaned out a whole unit so that they can add more segregation space. Things don't seem to be calming down there.

Yeah they did, the took the honor dorm and converted it to seg...needless to say the honor dorm guys weren't real happy about it...being in honor and then having to go back into the dorms must be a real shift for them.....
