Supportive friends & Family??

Hey everyone I was just wondering ~ how many of you guys have friends and family that support your decision to stand my your man while he's locked up? How many of you have ended friendships because your friend doesnt support your relationship? I am having this problem right now my best friend of 6 years says she cant stand by me and watch me give up my life to wait for the love of my life while he is locked up for 1 1/2 years, can you believe this I am so hurt right now. She said he probably is talking to other girls and he is gonna break your heart so call me when its over. Im BALLIN my eyes right now, my familiy is being great and since im only 22 they are handling it actually really welll but if she was really my best friend she would be supportive of me right guys?/ I am so confused and frustrated have you guys expereinced any thing like this what did you do? PLease any advice would be great.

I'm sorry that you're going thru this...but I have learned that I don't worry about what other people think anymore, I HAD to learn this or else I would probably be just like how you are right now. Also I quit telling alot of things that go on with me to my friends, I don't expect them to understand what I'm going through unless their going thru it they damn selves. So why even say anything??? When I was married and my mother found out I got the 10th degree on that, "why did you marry him?" "what can he do for you in there?" "he doesn't want sh*t but money and you have a house and bills to take care of" blah blah blah... but I did what I wanted to do until I decided that I didn't want anymore... I can't tell you what to do sweetie but I can tell you to follow your heart. God has given women a 6th sense to help us understand things that some people can't seem to understand.

I wouldn't even have let what your bff said to you upset you. Because my so-called bff tried to say some things about dude I'm with now and I had to politely remind her that when her own situation gets better and he finally treat her better than he has than maybe she might want to give me some damn advice but until then... save that sh*t! We don't speak now but WHO CARES!!! I don't! A true friend rides with you thru thick n' thin...no matter what and worries about the consquences later, now that's a true friend!!! JMO..

I don't really have a best friend other than Raw, but I have had a bunch of people say negative things, bout how it won't work out, or he will come out and cheat, or he is using me..........WTF..........the same things happen in non-prison relationships. Bottom line ITS YOUR CHOICE, not hers. And yes friends can respectfully and tactfully offer their opinion, but true friends ride with you when you make your own decision. Don't let it hurt or upset you. Some people have a real hard time understanding what we are doing. Waiting don't always have to be bad. Sometimes GOD puts good things in funny packages.
