He has a lot of history. Some violent crimes, some terrorizing or criminal threatening and he is a level 2 sex offender. So i dunno where he would go, but I assume some places are better than others! I heard about the Billerica house of corrections. Wonder if he would go there?

Hi EmmittMissesJH,

I wish I'd read this post before I answered your other post. What you say here might make his position seem more suspect before the judge. If he's incarcerated, the inmate's residence (from what I've seen) seldom has a big impact on where he's housed. I'm not sure why you assume he'd be sent to a county jail. If he gets a 10-year bid, then I'd assume he'd go to a state prison (which in my opinion is preferable). He'd probably start out at concord and then move to one of the medium facilities -- but I'm only speculating. Good luck with this. What a mess over one person's faulty information!

He may probably go to the Mass. Treatment Center... If it's a sex crime.

Yea I know that if he gets more than a yr its prison time. Just wondering where. The sex crime was 12 yrs ago, and he has been thru all the counseling etc. He is in trouble now b/c he supposedly failed to notify of address change, which violated his probation. So guess it would be a medium security...maybe even maximum.
he just got sent to county jail for 90 days. Then they are deciding what to do with him. So does that mean that is just temp until they figure out which institution to send him to? Or that after the 90 days they would put him on house arrest, extend probation or another non-incarcerated option?
