Does anyone know if at SCCC they have to graduation ceremonies for when they complete the GED i know that one prison does but J told me that they do have one but I haven't ever got to read anything about one in SCCC so i was wondering if anyone else knew about it!!! Thank u any info would be helpful.

That may be a "have-to-call-and-ask" question. I think that they all have the ceremony, but I don't know if family is allowed at all of them.

I would think you could just ask whoever answers the phone. Or maybe the education department.

This is not true for all prison. It depends on which prison and what their rules are. I know when I went to my husbands graduation for votech classes at Algoa his first graduation had the graduates for GEDs as well as all of the other votech classes. Now they do it separate from the votech classes but they still allow and encourage family to attend the graduation ceremony. I would call the prison and ask.
