Virginia Prison & Jail Visitation, Phones, Packages & MailTopics / Information relating to the Virginia Department of Corrections and local / county Jail visitation, phone calls, mail, inmate care packages, etc
Hi all,
Well its almost June and almost time for the kid to get out... after almost 3 long years... My question is with a projected release date of June 23.. Will she actually get out on that day???? I have to take leave from work and dont want to apply until Im sure... so help please..
Wow! has it been three years? I am so glad she is getting out! Her release date should be that date unless there is a problem with her home plan. Call the probation office and see if they have the paperwork. If they don't, then call DOC. You need Offender Release Services (804) 674-3046. Ask what is her status? They will tell you if there is a problem or not. So many inmates get held up at the last minute when something doesn't fall in place right and they don't tell them. Call and ask her counselor if the papers have been filed.
And then stay on them to double-check there are no snags.
I am so happy for you!!

Thanks DW... She seems to think that she wont have probation after release. And no one has called me about her home plan yet so I will start calling everyone to make sure that things are as they are suppose to be...
