Default Presidential politics

I'm very curious to learn of people's response to Senator Clinton throwing in the towel.

I'll start. I wish she hadn't dragged it out so long, but I'm glad she's decided to step aside.

I am not saying I wanted her to lose or that I wanted Senator Obama to win. I AM saying we must repudiate George Bush and punish the political party that foisted him upon us.

Vote for the slick-talking con man. It's really important this time.

p.s.: Apologies to Louisianans, who were implored to vote for "the crook this time."

Obama is now our only hope for some form of universal health care. (My personal pet issue) McCain's plan is awful. I'm concerned though, seriously, because Obama is weak when it comes to Foreign affairs, and McCain's going to thrust that issue into center stage for the entire campaign if he can. Should he succeed, then McCain will win, and there's too much at stake here at home for that to happen. I hope to god Obama's campaign managers find an effective way to combat McCain's foreign policy advantage.

Personally I'm sorry to see Clinton lose, because she was the best bet for a win. I don't believe her waiting as long as she did has fractured the party. It was pretty well known weeks ago she wasn't going to pull off the nomination, and a lot of Clinton supporters have been preparing for this. And actually it could definitely work in Obama's favor. He's strong in the news now, everyone's eye is on him, wondering about his running mate. The more people keep hearing his name, the more sound bytes he gets...well-just like any form of marketing-it becomes familiar and people don't like change. Besides, the hatred of Bush policy is strong enough to pull the party together.

But I will tell you this-I am worried that Clinton is considering running as an independent. She can't win that way, and if she does such a thing, it will prove to a lot of Democrats and Independents (me) that she puts her personal political ambition before the needs of this country.

In an aside note, Obama had better choose a good running mate who shares the same vision as he does-Edwards would be GREAT!!! but I'm concerned because he's going to be a huge target for assassination. I hate to say it, but I'm sure there's a pile of bigots out there who are just steamed that a black man has a serious shot at the presidential office, and that puts our entire country at risk. I won't be the least bit surprised if there's an attempt on his life even before the election. The secret service better be doing their job.

Imagine how pissed off we are in Florida that our state did that stunt and moved up the primary here and our votes basically didn't count, or half counted or whatever, and I believe Michigan did it too. WTF??? I don't know why our states did that.
The Clintons have been trying to get Universal Health Care since Bill was in office and the big Insurance and Medical related businesses are totally against it, HMO and all those crooks...

I'm voting for Ron Paul. If anyone is on the sides of the convicts, it's him. His platform is constitution-based. Tell me, how many people here are here because their man/woman was nailed unconstitutionally....

I think that should answer it.
