I'm new to the forum and have 10 years to go, although he's hoping that Obama will bring parole back to the Fed system and hopes to be out in 2013. I'd love to see that happen, but I'm not holding my breath.

Great support here.

Post I'm Back and Welcome

Wanted to tell all of you Hello ! I haven't been on much lately. I'm very sorry to say that my Best Girlfriend's husband passed away. I have been doing all I can for her.
I wanted to welcome the new Ladies and let them know just how much love and support you'll get at PTO !! It has been an answer to a prayer for me !
Let me know if I can help . I may not have the answer , but someone else will . But I am a good listener . But the best listener of all is the Lord.
Hugs to all !

Hey everyone i just want to first say what a blessing it is that this forum exist and wonderful people like you all keep it going through encouraging words and endless support. I'm new to this whole system and barely know how to post correctly. A very close friend of mine is doing a 20-life bid and has been in for 10 so far. Sometimes he goes through things he dont want to explain and i dont want to ask about and im hoping that im at the right place for a helping thought or two and maybe i could do the same and return the favor.

Hi everybody! I've been a member of this site for 2 years, but rarely got on here until recently. Now, I'm addicted. Although, I am grateful for all the other forums on here, where I have found a wealth of information and support, I'm glad I finally stumbled across this forum because everybody here is going through a situation more similar to mine. The love of my life caught his case in '93, when he was 18 (I fell in love with him when I was 14 & he was 15) and they gave him 10-50. He's up for parole "consideration" in 2012, but if they really want to, they can keep him until 2044. It's killing me not being able to have him home with me, but it's even worse not knowing when he will be able to come home.

Thank you. PTO is a great support network and I'm thankful that they have given us all a place to go, not only for support, but for information, as well. I'm sorry about your son. I can't imagine what you must be going through as a mother in this situation. My son is 13 and I pray that he stays on the right track and never ends up in trouble with the law. Your son is lucky to have you by his side. Some parents just turn their backs on their kids once they got locked up and it's so sad. My heart goes out to you.

Hey everyone, I've been lurking the past month or so. My fiance is currently in county and is looking at doing 20 years. Just needed a good support system and this looks like a good place to start!

Glad you are enjoying him. I cant begin to think of how hard it would be to be gone that amount of time and have to adjust.. heck if I miss one of my favorite tv shows Im lost (but im easilt confused) ...

You come by anytime you want.. the support here doesnt stop just because they come home.

& you let him know he has a bigger cheerleading team than he knows!!

Hugs & Best Wishes!
