Can anyone explain to me how this works? I sent my application in Nov and i called today and they said they can not tell me if its been received. but the lady did tell me he doesn't have anyone on his visiting list yet. But I know that he sent the first forms out without him signing them first. and then he sent new ones that were signed but i just thought he hadn't received the first ones yet so I didn't send them back. Should I have sent them back in? And does anyone have someone in Delano in A3???

If the ones you sent in where not sign by him in the back then they pretty much dont count so if the ones you still have are the ones sign i suggest you send them asap!! I also called 2 day to see if they have recieved mine yet and she just asked me for his cdc# and then she told me he had no one on his visiting list yet and that he would let me know by mail once i was approved and i sent mine first week of Dec.. So im just going to start calling once a week even though she told me that

Yes my husband is in A3 and I also sent mine in mid Nov. and called today and they haven't gotten to it yet....

ok, so i have a question for you girls. i send my visitng app. last week. there was a sextion in the front of the app. that said "for office use only" it was a small box, and then it said exp. date... ok so my question is are we suppose to put in that box the exp. date of our id's, or is it really for "office use only"?lol. i know thats probably a really dumb question but i left it blank since it said office use only, and my bf told me yesterday that a lot of time ppl get denied for minor mistakes that they do when filling out the app. so yea girls any help would be greatly appreciated..thank you all!

for office use only...probably for when your application expires, you have to renew it every 2 years. Hope that helps.

Good Morning hope every 1 had a good weekend i know i did "buzzin" Ha. but n e how here's NKSP # 661-721-2345 and press 1 for inmate then 0 for the operator and ask for visiting department.. And once they pick up just let them know you would like to know if your name has been added to his list.. there going to ask you for his cdc# so make sure you have that ready.. I called last week and i was told no one was on his list so if they tell you the same dont freak out and think you werent approved.. When you speak to someone in visiting just ask them if your application has been approved...if they say no not yet...ask them if they have received your application.
It usually takes about 2 weeks after they "receive it". When it has been entered into their computer that is when they considered it "received" until then it could be sitting on someones desk for weeks.

So I called and the lady said "I am good to go!"

I have never visited NKSP before.... Any pointers on visiting reception? Do I have to make an appt? What's a good time to get there? Is parking easy?

Congrats on getting approved!! I cant help u on ur questions, but I was wondering. When did u mail in ur application? I mailed mine in like two wks ago and still no answer (I know its early though for NK). ARe u visiting mainline or reception? I do know that for reception u have to call and sch an apt for a one hr behind glass visiting, but that is not the case for mainlined visiting.

Well I personally have never visited reception. But I do kow that there is no need to make an appointment. (if I am not mistaken appointments are for the hole)

Processing starts @ 830am. you might want to get there by 8. there ususally isn't that many people. But you have you're days. There is plenty of parking available. Just follow the signs.

Woo hoo I finally know of someone that got approved in reception to see there loved one. Can't help you as I have never been approved in RC. Good luck!! So when are you going??

I sent mine in the last week of November...So I guess they were right when they say that it takes about 2 months...I will be visiting reception...

i just called the nksp on the recorded message it says 1hr and its non contact but you must be an approved visitor and its by app only and it must be made 7 days in advance.. the # 661-721-2345 if you wanna call and listen to the recording.. they didnt answer the phone or they couldnt answer your quest.. well it gives out another # if you need more information 1-800-374-8474.. well i wish you the best

I just called and they said that Ad. Seg. needs to be made in advance...he is in regular population...so that means I get to go this weekend!

Thanks for the numbers though! They answered alot of my questions...

Okay, I just got off the phone with Martinez in the visiting department. You do not have to make an appointment to visit someone in reception.

Only visitors that are visiting someone in Ad seg need to make appointments.

So go and enjoy you're visit.

OMG! Your being approved is great!!! It inspired me to call and check on my application and they said its pending. So hopefully that means I will not take that long for me to get to go too. I hope you have a wonderful visit!

i was wondering if any one had gotten approved 1 month after they sent there application.. ive noticed alot of ladies are going on 2 months as my self or have even been waiting longer.. any answers id appreciate.. thnx n have a good day..

So...I am getting really excited and nervous about my visit...I know its been only 5 1/2 months since I have seen him...but it seems like forever.I am now scared that he will be mainlined before Saturday! I keep thinking of the worst....I need some positive vibes! Where is everyone? LOL
