Hi hotchilenadd67! Once your denied I think you can appeal but you cant just reapply constantly like this. What ends up happening is that you send in your application and when you call to see if they received it they say they dont have it, That its somewhere in the office but it hasnt been entered in the computer. So a lot of ladies end up sending more just incase they lost the first three lol! Once its entered into the computer it takes 30 to 60 days for approval.

Once your approved you dont need to reapply once hes mainlined. I never got approved because they never received it. My hubby just got mainlined and I sent them a new one. FYI approval is a lot faster when theyre mainlined

Good information here thanks ladies... I sent mine in the 1st of Sept and when I called they said it wasn't in the computer yet...sigh but she said it takes longer to show up in the computer than it does for the approval process? IDK I agree that it is very frustrating!

They didnt give you his housing when you called records? You can go to jpay.com and find his CDC# or try this
Inmate Locator = (916) 445-6713

Also you can write without his housing although it might take a bit longer but you HAVE to have his CDC# on there

I wrote to my husband here

P.O. Box 5000
Delano, Ca 93216-5000

No she wouldnt give it to me since I didn't have his CDC # and gave me the 916 number to call and get it! I called that number but he's not coming up in their database yet.

Thanks so much for the info! I guess I just have to wait until Monday or hopefully I will receive a letter from him in the meantime.

You should still try jpay or cybersuite they show up there a lot faster than at the prison for some reason!

Ladies miracles do happen. I have been approved for visits just when I was ready to reign myself to waiting until he is mainlined which could be today since the transfer list is put out on Fridays. I am so excited because that at least is over with for 2 years at least. Now I want a phone call!!!!

Thanks so much. Lucky you Karen98 I am so very anxious to hear his voice. I'll probably get a phone call from him before his letter gets here telling me he has transferred. LOL! Good luck to you on your approval.

It should be on the back side that he hads to sign, where it says VERIFICATON OF MAILING/INMATE SIGNATURE. That's what it isay on the blank ones here that he signed for whatever other family members.

Since he did NOT sign it they may not approve you....but then I hear sometimes they will take it to him to sign (guess it depends on the CO who gets in, if they are having a good day or bad one)

Tell him to send you more blank ones SIGNED for when he mainlines just in case you don't get approved you are preapred for he transfers

GOOD LUCK!

i told him to sign the back of the form but he signed it where i was suppose to sign
and it litereally does not say inmate sign here or anything
Can he just sign anywhere on the form or just a certain place ?

Also hes sent me two letters and im confused on what to put on the address
Both have the exact same address but one has more information on it
His inmate ID thing is on there and somthing else that looks like this
CXX-2XXX
Is there a certain way i need to lable things

im really excited its my first letter that ive received and i want to reply ASAP i just need to know what im suppose to do

Well first its in spanish so i had to have someone translate it
and it did not say anything about a signature. I'm guessing he sent the wrong one
on the very top of the form it says Visiting Questionnaire
CDC 106-A (3/89)

Good luck in Spanish....odd maybe unless you can read it. The version I have is CDC 106 (REV.01/03) if that helps. But when he first went in I had that version and he didn't sign it either, can't remember if there was a spot for it or not, hmmmm. Maybe that's why I never got approved because that ONE he didn't sign or it was out dated because I have the revised one now. Either way I never got approved at NKSP I had to wait till he mainlined. I had sent in 2 applications and still nothing and by that time it had been 55 days. As far as sending it in you can send it to him and they will take it out, there is a specifc address, can't remember it no more. I'll try to find it and post it if someone hasn't already.

That was going to be my next question
it does not have an address to where im suppose to send the darn thing.
i want to get the ball rolling on this because im out in LA and i want get a few visits in before i pop (im a little over 6 months preg)
from what ive read is that he will do most of his time in reception since the DA gave him 16 months
and from what everyone says he'll do about 8

Address it like how he did it to you
it should have the PO BOX
his yard #C6- HIS BED NUMBER 106U (Upper or Low)
My husband is not there no more and that is just a EXAMPLE!! (FOR YOU MODS)
AND WHEN YOU SEND HIM A BOOK FROM BARNES JUST DO IT LIKE THIS BELOW...IT IS ALWAYS BEST TO HAVE HIS CDC# NEXT TO HIS NAME BECAUSE HIS HOUSING MAY CHANGE AND CDC# WILL NOT AND THEY CAN LOOK HIM UP BY THAT SHOULD HE MOVE. AND SOMETIMES THEY CAN'T HAVE SO MANY LINES WITH ALL THE EXTRA INFO,GOOD LUCK

so it would be like this:

JOHN DOE -G-12345
C6-106U
NKSP
PO BOX 123
DELANO,CA 12345
