Default How to send a stationary package

My man has gone through alot of postage sending my pics back , otherwise they just get thrown away . I hope this helps someone and they don't end up going through the frustration that I did .

im sorry i dont know how to start a new thread or whatever but how exactly do i send a packages with envelopes and all that... and how much can i send?

You can’t send packages while in reception- unless they have been there for a year (which you hope they aren’t!) You can send writing packages in a big envelope. I believe it’s a max of 200 pieces of lined paper, 40 envelopes, 2 books of stamps, and a clear ink pen. That what i used to send my man. If you put it in a manila envelope make sure you take off the metal clasp- and if you send note pads of paper take off the cardboard backing and the staples in it.

I went onto access securepak and it let me put his information in. I hope he isnt there for a year.

Well shoot if it will let you then hopefully he will get it! That would be great- becuase they dont get much to order using the money on their books. my man finally got transfered out of DVI after being there for 10 months! He is so happy he can finally get a package!

Default Does it always take 3 weeks for them to get mail?

Hi,everyone I am new to this site. My husband was given 6 years. I write him 3-4 times a week since Nov 2nd he has only received like 2 letters and 2 cards. Does dvi reception always take this long to give the inmates mail?

Hi and welcome,
they are way behind on mail right now because of the Holidays. They are working on mail they got from the 13th right now. They just told me mail from the 10th that they recieved is going out to them tonight.
Good luck,
Sandra

The holidays are messing up the mail and some of the mail staff was laid off so we just have to bear it. There also will be no mail from the 23rd to the 26th.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you can order the subscription directly from the newspaper. Be sure you include his CDC# after his name and also his housing information.
My husband has a subscription for a newspaper and it takes a very long time to get to him. Sometimes he gets three or four issues at once.

You could always call the mailroom and they can likely give you the most accurate information.
Best wishes~~
