How much money for canteen use?

My nephew is very young and just was sent to Fulton Missouri for 7 years. How much money is a good amonunt for his use. He has a problem of spending to much all his life. We need to know how much to send monthly. Sue

Ask your nephew to send an extra canteen slip so you can look at the prices. It depends.. you say that he has always spent way too much money all of his life so you might want to send him weekly or bi-weekly instead of monthly. That way there isn't a large amount on his books for him to go hay wire with. I'm not familiar with the prison system in Missouri but where i live inmates are on a level system from level one to level four. level one inmates can only spend five dollars a week here and can only purchase hygeine products and stamps, envelopes and paper. the higher the level the more amount of money. i'm thinking maybe 20 a week if you can afford it. like i said.. the best start is with getting an extra one of his canteen slips. good luck to you.
