Can anyone share if they have any knowledge of when parole board meets or how to find this info? My son got a notice from his case manager there in Parchment saying his parole date is April 7, 2008--yes we know that is past & he just got the notice in November 2008. She couldn't or wouldn't explain it to him except to say he falls under law passed this year & he could be pulled in front of parole board any day. I would like to get some letters in there for him--employment awaiting his release, family & friends support, etc. in case they will help. Just not sure whether to send the letters to him or directly to parole board especially since we have no idea when he'll be seen. If possible too I'd like to be at parole hearing as a show of support for him--is this allowed? So I guess I would like as much info as anyone knows so that I can help him & know what to expect. I can't help you with this. I know very little about how it all works since we haven't reached that point. If I were you, I'd contact the parole board and ask for some information. According to MDOC's website the contact information is:
